  Best Venue EVER!

  The professionalism was like non other! They made sure my wedding was absolutely perfect! I got married on the hottest day of the year with a heat index of 119° F and the tent kept all of my guests cool! Emma did an outstanding job and her communication was stellar! Pete offered rides for guests on his golf cart throughout the wedding to make sure people did not have to walk far! I knew from the moment I took a tour here that I just had to have my wedding here! They offer many decorations that you can add to with your own hint of color to make your night beautiful! I needed to change my date unexpectedly and they were able to accommodate without any issues! I heard they were planning on making more improvements on years to come with an addition of a new barn and that is just so exciting for all the future brides! How can you make improvements on something that was already so perfect! All brides should save their time and visit this venue first because I know you will just fall in love with it! I think I am one of the very few brides that can say nothing went wrong on my special day and it was all due to the help of Emma, Pete, and the Northfork staff! P.s. I was looking over from previous reviews and brides have full capability of choosing their own DJ and food vendor, but Northfork offers a nice list of PREFERRED vendors that work well to help with the search! I chose all my vendors (Uncle Bubs and DJUj) from their list and my night could not have been more perfect!

  Best venue ever!

  Northfork farm is not only an amazing and beautiful venue but they also are your ride of die vendors! Unfortunately, I had some not so great events happen with my photographer and Emma my wedding planner and co-owner of the venue help me throughout the whole process of making sure our issues was resolved with our photographer and also helped me advocate with what I was unhappy with, with my photographer!
  
  This venue is the most beautiful and flexible venue ever! You can really make all your wedding day dreams and visions come to life with this venue since you have so much freedom and support during the whole wedding planning process!

  Northfork farm is not only an amazing and beautiful venue but they also are your ride of die vendors!   Perfection

  Northfork Farm is pure excellence. From the tour till the end of the wedding everything was perfect. They made sure everything that we had a vision of happened. They were so accommodating and absolute pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend anybody choosing this venue. The property is stunning and the entire experience could not have been better. Pete, Laurie and the entire staff go the extra mile to make it all great.

  A true fairytale

  If you need a venue this place is absolutely stunning!! They are so easy to work with and so down to earth. The property is like a fairytale ❤️ We just got married at Northfork Farm this past weekend and our guests could not stop talking about how amazing it was. HIGHLY suggest using them for your next event, they are incredible!
  We worked with Emma and she was such a breath of fresh air to work with, communication was amazing and she had all the ideas and advice you could ask for. She had a list of vendors so that helped immensely in the planning process. Thank you so much for making our day a true dream come true!

  Beautiful and a blast!

  Having our wedding at Northfork Farm was AMAZING. I can't tell you how many times people told me how beautiful and awesome it was in our wedding night. Everyone there is so supportive all throughout planning and answers all questions and is super responsive. You will definitely feel and know you are in great hands there. It was especially great to work with Enma, we couldn't have asked for a better coordinator. I'm dying to see the rest of our pictures! If you want a farm wedding, this is DEFINITELY the one to go with over any others.

  The BEST place! The BEST people!

  Northfork was 1 of 5 venues we looked at and it was the only one we got that "feeling" from, you know the one when its right, the one like you are home, it was meant to be, you are more than a paycheck to them, you become family when you get married here.
  
  They were so helpful every step of the way. They provided us with a vendor sheet that was so helpful for a bride that didn't know where to start the vendor hunt, we used some from their list and some of our own but it was the PERFECT guide to get us started.
  
  Peggy & Emma are their wedding coordinators and although I worked primarily with Peggy, Emma was also a huge help to me! They are both very easy to reach when you have a question and knew exactly what I was wanting my vision to be and helped me make a ton of detail decisions.
  
  Pete & Laurie are the owners and they are way more than owners when it comes to this place. It is their home and they are so proud of what they have built, as they should be. They are hands on when it comes to weddings and it is so wonderful to work with owners that truly love what they do. They are so kind and caring, you feel like you are part of their family.
  
  The Horses... THEY. ARE. BEAUTIFUL. We are huge animal loves so this was such a perfect addition to our day. Our guests LOVED seeing them and taking pictures with them, they are so sweet and make everyone smile!
  
  The Venue overall is the MOST BEAUTIFUL place, their landscaping makes all the pictures so perfect and less stress for a bride to decorate! The acreage is the perfect backdrop in every inch of the venue, there is not a bad spot for pictures! The Tent is beautiful and you don't even fell like your in a tent. The bridal suite is a perfect little get away and place to relax and get ready with your bridesmaids. The on site salon is a must use! It was so nice to be on site all day with my girls and not have to worry about when we had to be where. The all in one place style venue was way more amazing than expected.
  
  I could go on and on about this place but just know it will not disappoint. It is the MOST PERFECT place to start your happily ever after.

  Amazing experience!

  This family owned farm is truly a magical place to get married. We loved the beautiful grounds and the family and wedding planner were so amazing to work with! Highly recommend!

  Best Wedding Ever

  I could not have asked for a better venue or staff. Hand down I would do it again! Stress free fun day thanks to Peggy, Pete and Laurie! I want to have another wedding just to be back on the grounds!

  Direct quotes from so many guests at our wedding. Northfork could not have been anymore helpful or understanding. They are incredibly flexible and open to any ideas you have. They’ve truly perfected their business model, and it’s so impressive. A planner, on-site salon, bridal suite, several ceremony locations on the farm for you to choose from, a beautiful reception area - NF has it all, with plenty of room to make for a comfortable space for guests. If I could have every party at this venue, I absolutely would. I cannot recommend NF enough.

  Absolutely stunning venue and incredible staff

  Northfork is just a dream. The staff, the venue itself, the barn, the horses... absolutely a dream. We fell in love with Northfork the moment we pulled in to have our first visit. Pete is so wonderful to work with. Even before the pandemic, he was very helpful and responsive to any questions or concerns. And then add a pandemic with trying to plan back-up dates, figure out what to do, when to pull the trigger, etc, he was so patient and easy to work. Peggy is an absolute delight and pleasure to work with. She truly turns your vision into your dream day. I couldn’t have done it without her. This venue is just beautiful and perfect.

  Fantastic Venue

  Grand daughter had her weeding there and it was fantastic. A brief rain storm happened early in the evening and they handled it beautifully. I highly recommend them because of their service, flexibility and price.

  So happy with our amazing wedding day!

  Northfork was the first venue we looked at one week after we were engaged and we fell in love instantly. We knew this was the place we were getting married!
  
  We booked the last wedding of their season on November 3rd and as the months started passing I got nervous about the weather. Each time I emailed Pete and Laurie, they would ease my mind. They were extremely responsive via email. We also went back to walk around the grounds with various venders before the wedding and Pete would always come out and make sure any questions were answered. I also rented their daughter Carly’s new salon space and she was just as friendly and responsive too. My favorite part about this venue is that it is owned by a family and it really feels like weddings are their passion, not just a business they run. I felt they went above and beyond to make sure my day went smoothly.
  
  Peggy, their wedding planner, was also incredible. She met with me numerous times and also was happy to answer any questions along the way. She is a STEAL! Book her if you choose this venue! John, the bartender was also wonderful. I really can’t say enough great things about this place!

  The most perfect day ever.

  Northfork provided an absolutely amazing experience, and made our dream reception happen. Peggy understands everything you might envision, and makes it come to life, 10 times better than you could ever imagine! Our guests raved about the venue and everything it offered. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place to have our rustic reception!

  Northfork farm in oswego IL was the most memorable venues absolutely breathtaking views almost everywhere you looked.The staff and owners are top notch and trustworthy and true professionals in every aspect.Very nice and great to work with.Got married and had the reception there.Lots of room and beautiful horses for great background photos.If you want the greatest venue and we know you do contact Northfork farm.I promise you won't be disappointed.Also Peggy the wedding planner is the very best.

  Northfork Farm is such a beautiful place! We were so thankful to have stumbled across the farm! Pete and Laurie made us feel like a part of the family from the very beginning! They were so easy to work with and really care about their customers! We knew they would do anything we needed to make our wedding the best day of our lives! They also offer a coordinator, Peggy. Peggy is an amazing resource! She helped us every step of the way. She was always available for questions and made our whole day go smoothly. Her price is so low compared to the value she brings! To put it in perspective, my sister recently got married and she paid 3x what we paid for Peggy. And her coordinator was not nearly half as good as Peggy. Northfork allows you to use any of their wedding decorations they have. We used the wood slabs they had for our centerpieces and it definitely took some stress off of us during the planning process. The entire staff at Northfork was a joy to work with!

  Northfork Farm is such a beautiful place! We were so thankful to have stumbled across the farm! Pete and Laurie made us feel like a part of the family from the very beginning! They were so easy to work with and really care about their customers! We knew they would do anything we needed to make our wedding the best day of our lives! They also offer a coordinator, Peggy.   As the mother of the bride, I cannot say enough good things about Pete, Laurie and the entire staff at Northfork farm. Besides the grounds, tent, barn and view being absolutely breathtaking, Pete and Laurie open their hearts and home to everyone and that is what makes the experience with Northfork so amazing.
  
  When we realized the day was going to 95+ degrees, Pete went above and beyond to help us find a vendor to air condition the tent. With the A/C and fans running the tent stayed cool and comfortable! People were able to enjoy the bar set up in the horse barn, play bags, tour the grounds, view the beautiful race horses and then grab a drink at the bar in the tent and cool back down. If you are concerned about rain, we had rain in the evening, infact it was a full blown thunderstorm and you wouldn't have even known it was raining outside if it wasn't for Pete checking for any rain seeping in under the sides of the tent. We continued dancing until 11 and by then the storm had passed, everyone left and arrived home safely.
  
  Pete also has a wonderful list of vendors that they have personal and professional relationships with and I don't think you can go wrong with any of them! I would highly recommend Peggy as your day of coordinator and planner, I didn't worry about one thing and was able to watch my daughter and her new husband shine on their special day! Peggy put my mind at ease and handled everything!
  
  This may sound like a "too good to be true" review, but I honestly have nothing negative to say about our experience with Northfork, we received so many compliments from our guests and my girl was able to have her dream wedding.

  This is an outdoor space, it's beautiful and Pete and Laurie and their staff are incredible! We used Uncle Bub's as our caterer here and all of our guests raved about how good the food was!

  Pete and Laurie are excellent to work with and flexible. They watched the weather radar closely and were willing to wait until the last minute to put out chairs for 200+ guests due to impending rain. They wanted the event to be outdoors as much as we did. This young business grew their services from the time of booking until our daughter's wedding so that they offered even more value for the cost by the time the event happened.

  Amazing grounds. Laurie & Pete are so accommodating! Warm loving down home atmosphere from start to finish! We are so lucky to have found the North Fork! Could not have asked for a better venue or team to handle our special day. It was truly amazing down to every last detail!

  2022 Bride

  The venue is absolutely beautiful!! Pete (owner) & his family are great people to work with. Emma was our planner & she went above & beyond for us! They made our Oct. 2022 wedding absolutely perfect!!

  Very Disappointing

  I attended a wedding there and did not have a good experience. That day the weather was bad and the owner was not prepared to deal with the conditions.
  The power went out and they did not have back up generators for a long time. The tent for the reception did not hold up with windy conditions and ripped with wind blowing inside. It was awful. They tried taping it closed. The ceremony was delayed for a very long time with no explanation. There was no power in the restrooms and it was dangerous for guests. I could go on and on. I'd never go back.

  They did not fix any issues during the wedding and reception

  Let me start by saying who leaves the Bride standing outside by herself, without a jacket, in the freezing cold for 45 minutes? The answer is Northfork! There were 70 mph winds and freezing temperatures. There was no communication. The ceremony was delayed and the wedding coordinator forgot the bride was waiting outside. The venue lost power a couple of hours before the ceremony and didn't have generators. How is this being prepared? They got one generator but that was not enough to get everything up and running. We offered to go to Home Depot to buy more generators and they said we couldn't. A lot of our decorations could not be displayed due to the lack of generators. So that was money lost for us. Our coffee station couldn't be set up for the same reason. Again our money lost. Our photo booth had to be set up outside by the barn, again because of them not having enough generators. The guests didn't want to go outside to use the photo booth so we lost money on this as well. The reception tent was damaged from the high winds. Northfork didn't have enough workers so some of the bridal party were doing repairs. There were not enough chairs set up for all of our guests for the ceremony so some of the guests had to stand. Before the ceremony started I mentioned to the owner about not having enough chairs set up, he rolled his eyes, said nothing and walked away. There was no power in the bridal suite. We could not freshen up, run water, or flush the toilet. The bathrooms for the guests were totally in the dark. No back up lights. 2 of our guests got injured walking up the steps to the bathroom. There weren't any first aid kits in sight. Thank goodness I came prepared with one. The bride and groom didn't even eat dinner together because they kept getting pulled away for every issue that arose. Where was the wedding coordinator that we paid for? She should have been the one called upon to fix each problem, as well as the owners. The parents of the bride and groom were also being called upon to fix issues. We all should have been left to enjoy the day. They took no accountability. They were not prepared for the horrible weather conditions, even though this weather was forecast beforehand. Not to mention as well that when we took a tour of the venue a year before the wedding, they assured us that they would be 100% prepared and ready to handle any weather conditions possible. The bottom line is that I would not recommend using this venue for anything, especially a wedding! Take my word for it!

  Northfork Farm has been in business for 9 years. We have always received excellent reviews on Google, TheKnot, and Wedding Wire. In 2017, we received Wedding Wire’s Couples’ Choice award. In 2023, Best of Weddings from TheKnot. Northfork Farm was also featured on Destination Chicago, channel 2 this year. We take pride in our venue and work. We do our best to make every couple's day special.
  
  In response to the above review:
  
  On November 5, 2022, we experienced an unprecedented wind event with average sustainable winds in excess of 70 mph from approximately 2:30 pm - 6:00 pm. Power outages began in the surrounding area between 2:30 pm and 8:00 pm.
  
  Due to these excessive winds the venue made the decision along with members of the bridal party that outdoor decorations were not going to be used outside in fear of damage to the decor and the safety of the guests.
  
  Northfork Farm is located in unincorporated Oswego, thus subject to a well system, needing electricity to run the well. Due to the power issue the trailer bathrooms and the handicap accessible bathroom were functioning but not at 100% during those hours.
  
  Throughout the day multiple challenges arose stretching our resources and requiring a constant shifting of priorities - while always keeping the bride's vision in mind and the safety of the guests.
  
  The wedding planner for this day has 9 years of experience organizing and implementing hundreds of weddings. On this particular day many plans that were previously made through numerous meetings and conversations with the bride and groom needed to be adjusted at the last minute requiring conversations with the bridal party to ensure alignment on the changes.
  
  Regarding the statement on the bride being forgotten - the wedding planner brought the bride to the staging area that is used for this location minutes before the ceremony was to start. The wedding planner did advise the bride to bring additional outerwear due to the temperature but she chose not to. The wedding planner did provide a sweater for the bride to use. At that time there was a delay in the start of the ceremony due to a vendor needing additional time to readjust his equipment to be able to provide the best sound possible for the ceremony causing the bride and bridal party a longer wait.
  
  Northfork did deliver on all items stated in their contract. Generators were available prior to the ceremony to the DJ for sound, lights were on in the tent, the bar was functioning at 100%, the caterers were able to keep the food hot and served on time, coffee was purchased and provided to the guests and the heat source in the tent was never interrupted. A photobooth was set up and operational at its scheduled time in the barn due to lack of floor space in the tent which had been previously discussed with the bride and groom prior to November 5th due to their guest count. This all being said, Northfork Farm did come to an agreement with the bride and groom to refund them 30% for the limitations that were presented due to weather.
