    Beautiful Wedding Week!

My wedding was originally on the beach, but since it was raining the entire weekend, we had to go to our backup spaces. It turned out just as beautiful! They did such a fantastic job catering to exactly what I wanted. They also made my wedding planning so easy. HIGHLY recommend them!

I just returned from my wedding at Paradisus Punta Cana and what an amazing wedding it was. Every time I think about it, I just smile. My coordinator was Beatriz Rosa and she is simply amazing, Miguelina and Sharlyn are also very lovely and extremely helpful. They all work great together. For weeks I was stressing because everything was done either via email or the phone, this being a destination wedding. However once I stepped foot in Punta Cana and met Beatriz, there was nothing to be concerned about. I had the Aqua package and had a few upgrades, we had a total of 88 guests, which is pretty big for a DW. We added, a musical Trio to play during the cocktail hour and our guests loved it, we also added the Hora Loca near the end of the reception and it was one of the best choices. Everyone was dancing and having such a great time. If you are worried about having a destination wedding due to lack of hands on control, don't be Beatriz, Miguelina and Sharlyn will make sure your wedding is absolutely beautiful. Not to mention the resort is gorgeous. Beautiful lush grounds, great entertainment, delicious food and drinks. Can't wait to go back!

First of I would like to start of by saying this Place is just purely amazing and one of a kind. I got married on Feb 19, 2015 at Paradisus Punta Cana and the coordinator, Miguelina and Beatriz were patient, professional, organized, and lovely individuals. My husband and I are thrilled that we decided to plan our nuptials here. We selected a Tailor Made package and from start to finish ( from January 2014 to February 19 2015) all the information was clear and email response were quick.
Miguelina and Beatriz, catered to all of our questions in a timely manner and helped us in making great decisions!

Since it was a destination wedding, we had family travel to the Resort. We had a total of 37 guest with one child and they all had only amazing things to say about the service, and hospitality.

From the bell boys, having a list of arrivals of the day, to Front desk representative ( Amable ) checking in the guest so quickly.

However, my Husband and I had the royal service with the Butler service upgrade!
The little golf carts took us to the main lobby of royal service ( excluded from the primary lobby that everyone else checks in ) the Royal Service representative checked us in and provided us with a private cell phone to call whenever we had a request for our butler Hector. Hector was on call 24/7, he helped us make reservations for dinner, get champagne bottles for our rooms, and make reservations for a nanny for one of our guest. He was simply amazing.

The bars were fully stocked and the restaurants food was superior - each restaurant had a special theme, Mole ( mexican ) The Grill ( steakhouse) La Palapa ( both land and sea ) and many more had a special menu. And in each restaurant the waiters, hostess did absolutely everything to please our group and our experience.

My husband and I got married on 7/11/14 at the Paradisus Punta Cana. We love the resort for the grounds & amazing staff. The grounds at PPC are different from any other hotel we have stayed at (Jamaica, Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, Acapulco, San Diego, Bahamas etc). This is by far a hotel for romance, tropical feeling & lavishness that makes you feel like you are home away from home

I did not go through the Miami office to book our wedding. However, I came across a wedding Planner - Theresa Calcos from barefoot bride. She took reign of everything and was a God send in planning this wedding. This is her facebook page -

A destination wedding was the best choice of our lives and we are so happy we had 42 friends and family spend the week with us!

    Amazing wedding memories

Perfect day to remember. We had the ceremony at the gazebo and the reception on the beach. We used the Chill Out Chic package. The wedding itself was so naturally beautiful plus all the additions the resort offered was amazing. My onsite wedding coordinator (Marina) did everything possible to make my day perfect. The day before the wedding I had an allergic reaction to my eyelashes, she called around to find me medication. The day of the wedding I realized I wanted lolipops to entice my boys down the aisle so she found some at the local store. The DJ was perfect. The Food was the best night we had on the resort. The service was amazing. The waiter made sure we were never empty handed. The photographers were amazing (still haven’t received our pictures though) but from the professionalism the day of and our sneak peak im sure they will be perfect. The girls makeup and hair were all so beautiful.

I was nervous leading up to our trip because communication was minimal but once you get there they make sure you feel comfortable and happy the entire time.

    Things I would change:
I would have added the cocktail hour.
My husband and I decided to wait to see each other for the ceremony and I wouldn’t have changed a thing but our pictures were overlapping with our reception. Plus our guest were so hungry by the time the reception started that they ate without us! Lol
The wedding could have been an extra hour longer. We were just all having an amazing time we were sad it ended.

    All in all- amazing!

Mostly Good, but will need PATIENCE

One year later and writing my review for future brides :)
I know how stressful it can be to plan wedding especially one so far so I felt I really should write a review.
    1. You will need to confirm, and check and recheck every detail
    2. They are on island time, even more so when you are there - they will not see anything as important as you are so prepare
    3. Be organized. Go over all items and pricing, location, decorations - appts for hair, WHERE you want to have your hair done - We rented the bridal suite which is a room within the resort with they made into the suite - little musty, but fine - bring music to play and can order food and drinks
    4. Talk about when the bridesmaids will walk out and when you will walk out- they leave you in the suite with little direction.
    5. If you have your wedding outside in the garden area (beautiful) but they only buffet
    6. Check weather and try your best to have it outdoors if this what you paid for or you lose the money on everything extra you payed for- dance floor, lights, etc.
    7. The decor team will make your dream a reality - just be clear as to what you want.
    8. Have patience- you will need it.
    9. The grounds are beautiful, but the food is not the greatest
    10. PAY FOR THE CRAZY HOUR- ITS A MUST! Made the whole wedding.
    11. Get the violinist for the ceremony - Amazing!
    12. Minister is great- English native speaker- no worries and was amazing and touching!
    13. Gaezbo was beautiful once they decorated - at "practice" it did not look so great
    14. "practice" sucks the coordinator is not that great
    15. Just do not do a rehearsal dinner - they will not let your whole party sit together in a restaurant so do not bother. Or you can try and book it before you go.
    16. Have a welcome white party night, and have the photographer come and give your bridal party gifts that night and welcome bags (hotel can not give those out)
    17. Relax, have fun ...you are marrying the man of your dreams.

I have mixed reviews of this place. The wedding coordinator I had was a nice young lady who did her best for us to have a memorable wedding. However, the team in general needs a lot of work. The wedding manager ruined my day as she was rushing everything and had a resting bitch face through the whole time. I know they tried to provide me with extra stuff to appease me, but just her attitude alone ruined my day. I was late to the ceremony because the hotel has a terrible makeup team and I couldn't use them because I looked terrible. So I decided to do my own make up. The wedding coordinator kept calling me about small details even though I gave her a thorough explanation of how I wanted things and contact information of all my vendors. Their external vendor fee is $1000, something I wish I had known before putting down my deposit. That to me was ridiculously overpriced. Horrible for anyone who wants to do their wedding there. Their preferred vendors are inflated and overpriced. Don't get me wrong the decorating team did an amazing job, but I shopped around to know how much similar vendors were charging and the Hotel's vendors were charging 3x the amount. I would not recommend someone getting married here unless the wedding is small and you don't intend to have add ons. Last thing, I had let the coordinator know I had an external DJ coming. The wedding team manager threw a total temper tantrum in front of me because she said I had deceived her. Unacceptable.

Dont go here unless you want to look back on your wedding day with bitterness and regret. This place ruined our wedding for us and for all our family and friends that flew in from all over the world to celebrate with us. They breached every clause in our contract, did whatever they wanted including canceling our guests reservations upon arrival and sending them to other hotels around the island while the wedding was on this resort. Bad food, bad music, over charged and added charges never discussed. Rushed through the entire event, not to mention I, the bride, was told that they didnt have any hair and makeup appointments for me the day before the wedding, even though I had booked them a month in advance so I did my own hair and makeup with the help of my friends. Worst experience ever. We are still fighting them through our credit card company.
