My husband and I were recently married there in a private ceremony. The staff was amazing. They went above and beyond any expectations we had. Terri was so kind in assisting in every-way, We would highly recommend anyone looking for a venue to visit there, you will not be disappointed. Truly world class in every aspect!! We are so thankful for the team at Red Gates for helping us have a beautiful wedding day despite COVID and a hurricane! You're required to have a wedding planner for the venue; however, Mrs. Desa was a great help in addition to the wedding planner. The whole team is very personable.

Dessa and Terri have been amazing so far, they have accommodated beyond measure with my request, I cannot recommend them enough to make your day as easy as possible. I am getting married in April and cannot wait!

Red Gates was a wonderful wedding venue with an extremely caring staff. Terri, Desa, and Steve truly cared about my wedding day and helped make my wedding dreams come true. After months of planning with the Red Gates staff, I arrived to the venue on my wedding day and just relaxed because everything was taken care of by them. Red Gates is an extremely beautiful property with several great areas for photography. I absolutely loved having my ceremony and reception at the same location. All of my guests loved it as well and they had plenty of room for parking. Red Gates is a must see if you are looking for an outdoor barn venue.

Desa and Steve were amazing to work with! When we pulled up to the venue to view it I knew that is where I was going to marry my best friend. The feeling you get there is amazing! Desa and Steve made all of my dreams come true! Red Gates is a must see!

I'm not sure I can express how thrilled, blessed, grateful we are to have found Desa and Steve Osborn and RedGates. From our first visit to the day of our daughter's wedding, it was all perfect! I do, however, have to give God the credit for the perfect weather :-) This was our first wedding to plan so we were quite anxious about all of it. Desa was always so responsive, had wonderful suggestions, including vendors, and had such a way of making me feel things were always on track and nothing to worry about, and ending every conversation and message with "remember to breathe!". She always made us feel like my daughter's wedding was as special for her as it was for us. Her husband, Steve, busy in the back ground, keeping the grounds manicured and neat, etc (and there is a lot included in that etc). Wonderful couple!! I cannot recommend this venue enough. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! Exactly what we were looking for. Wouldn't change a thing!

The barn is beautiful and the location is as well. But I was told certain things that did not happen and made me have to change my plans for our wedding. For example, I was promised that grass would be growing by the time of our wedding, that didn't happen it was all dirt when I came for my final walk through so we had to change our plan. Personally, the experience could have been better for us all in all. But our wedding was beautiful and we enjoyed ourselves.

I Looked all around the Birmingham area for venues and was to the point of just having a destination wedding until I found Red Gates! I am so THANKFUL to have found this venue and these wonderful people! They have been so helpful and given me so much assistance! I am so excited and look forward to working with them!

My husband and I had our wedding ceremony and reception at Red Gates at Kelly Creek on 03/17/18. I cannot begin to say enough amazing things about Desa and her staff. They went above and beyond to make sure our special day was perfect. They were always quick to answer any questions that came up and did an amazing job of keeping us on track. We could feel the love and enthusiasm they pour into each of their events each time we connected with them. We couldn’t have pulled it off so successfully if it were not for the amazing team at Red Gates. On top of that, the venue and the property are simply gorgeous. They truly made our dream wedding come true and we could not have asked for a better night! I would recommend reaching out to book this venue for your wedding!

This place is absolutely gorgeous! The owners are very sweet and compationate about there clients and your happiness is their goal. I highly recommend this place to use as the venue for your special day.

Having my wedding at red gates at kelly creek was a dream come true. It was beautiful inside and out. We got married October 14, 2017. The weather was perfect, the owners and wedding coordinator were so sweet and patient. Everything about it was perfect. I highly recommend this venue. You will not regret it.

I had my wedding in Oct. If your looking for a place to get married this is it the venue is well crafted and just beautiful inside and out . They wedding planer is great the owns are great . Red Gates at Kelly Creek was beyond what I could've imagined- quite literally because it was only a concept when we learned our rehearsal dinner was going to be hosted there. It is stunning- from the lighting, to the beams, to the details in the outdoor areas. I could share more beautiful words about the space itself, but the property owners and designers are beyond words. It's hard to place complete trust when you're planning an event as important as your rehearsal dinner or wedding, but this family had and has my complete trust, respect, admiration, and gratitude. If you want perfect, that's what you'll receive with Red Gates!

We loved our experience with Red Gates!! This venue is truly magical - beautiful trees, ponds, and greenery, and the barn is built from trees on the property. All the staff were super helpful and accommodating. I hate planning, so all the help with coordinating vendors was amazing. Competitive pricing, and they didn't try to tack on extra charges for decor, chairs, unlimited time in the venue the day-of, etc. Would 100% recommend to future brides!

Red Gates at Kelly Creek had everything we were looking for based on location, outdoor/indoor options, and good management. Terri, the property manager, wore so many hats for our wedding that it's hard to keep track. Easy advice: hire Terri for any of the services she offers! We hired her as our wedding coordinator and florist, and she went above and beyond in all of her roles to ensure that that day was the best day of our lives. It even rained the day of, forcing us to relocate the outdoor ceremony into the barn, but that ended up being a blessing because the setup in the barn was absolutely beautiful. The layout allowed our 100-person wedding to fill up the place while at the same time still having plenty of room should we have had a larger crowd. We can't recommend Red Gates enough for any couples looking for a great venue that's off the beaten path yet still very accessible, and the property has so much to offer that every wedding guest walks away talking about how wonderful this place is.

The barn is what sold us on this venue! It is absolutely spectacular. No other barn venue in the area can come close to the beauty of the barn itself.

My daughter was married at this venue on January 21, 2023. Although the venue is nice, the wedding planner (Terri) was the rudest, most unprofessional, hateful person to be planning a persons “special” day. She was not only this way to the bride, but the bridal party, parents and guests. Terri even felt it was her place to tell guests she didn’t feel their attire was “wedding” appropriate. Terri refused heat in the venue during the ceremony because it was “bad for the photos” - so we had to have a serious discussion about that.

Terri’s most unfavorable action though, was when she decided to take a phone call, during the wedding vows and carry on a conversation - where EVERYONE could hear her talking! But Terri made sure to tell everyone to turn their phones off - but Terri was exempt from her rules, rude and belligerent! When a guest said something to her about her rude phone conversation during the wedding ceremony- Terri laughed in her face! When another guest told Terri to “shush” during her rude phone conversation during the wedding, Terri gave that guest the index finger. Terri thought it was alright to “help herself” to dinner on the night of the Rehearsal Dinner AND the night of the Wedding. So glad there was enough food because she definitely was NOT invited either night! Both nights we paid to have the venue until 11:00, but Terri started asking us around 7:00 each night when we were going to leave. Talk about “kicking us out the door”. Oh, and that bottle of champagne for the bride and bridesmaids that Terri was going to give them the day of the wedding - the one that was coming in a minute - they are still waiting for it Terri!

I will say, the wedding was awesome, the bride was absolutely stunning, groom was handsome, wedding party was gorgeous - it was all put together perfectly by the bride & party. The photographers were absolutely the best with amazing personalities, the band was to perfection (U.S. Band), and the meal (La Paz) delicious.

I would never recommend this venue to anyone nor would I ever go back! I wouldn’t pay 50 cents for hatred let alone thousands on a special day for a grumpy middle age women to feel she’s Hitler over my daughters wedding.

Terri, you definitely need an attitude adjustment for the “special day” atmosphere. And woman, if you’re going to be Hitler and make the rules, have the common courtesy to stay off your phone during the ceremony.

Also Terri, I’ve read how Red Gate replies to defend your atrocious behavior. Heads up Red Gate, there is NO defending the belligerent rudeness of Terri answering a phone call during the ceremony AND talking on the phone during the ceremony! A business is only as good as its employees and right now, you have a huge problem!
