This was an absolutely beautiful venue, even in the winter! There are so many beautiful areas to take pictures because of all the flowers, trees and water! We did a “sunrise wedding” which took place in the early morning at 7am- and the lighting was amazing! It also costed half of the price, so we were very happy about that! Communicating with Kayleen up until the wedding day was amazing- she was so accommodating and very fast at replying. I had NO clue where to even start with planning a wedding (especially last minute like mine was)- and she explained everything and made me feel so much better and less stressed. The breakfast buffet food was very good as well- we went for the deluxe buffet and there was a huge variety of options for everyone! The staff that were there the day of the wedding were organized and on top of it. It was the perfect day and there are no complaints! I would recommend anyone to get married here!
The price we paid was for 34 guests even though only 30 showed up (so it could have been even cheaper than that!) and that wasn’t including the photographer, the cake or the decorations (we brought our own centerpieces and decorations but the venue did offer to supply basic ones!)Riverbanks Zoo & Garden's reply:

Incredible Venue at a Great Value!
Kayleen Edmonds went above and beyond for my wife and I at every step of this process for our wedding at the Riverbanks Botanical Gardens. It was an absolutely seamless process, and we felt like we were a priority to Kayleen and her team. The day-of wedding was seamless, and Kayleen and her team were professional and gave us incredible service. In a world where weddings are incredibly overpriced, we felt we got an immense value at Riverbanks Zoo & Botanical Gardens. We would recommend this venue and Kayleen as the venue manager to anyone!!!Riverbanks Zoo & Garden's reply:

It was truly the perfect venue for our wedding and reception. The patio area of the Magnolia Room was gorgeous for the wedding and the room itself was fantastic for the reception. The gardens are so beautiful we only needed to provide minimal decor.
Kayleen made the year of planning truly a wonderful experience. She was very responsive, answered all our questions, and asked good questions of her own to help us plan the evening.
The catering was also fantastic. Our guests haven't stopped talking about the mashed potato bar and I've been craving the fish tacos ever since.Riverbanks Zoo & Garden's reply:

Beautiful event!
We are so happy we picked Riverbanks Zoo for our wedding! We picked Ndoki lodge for our reception and it was beautiful! I wanted a more formal event but in an outdoor/casual place and we got exactly what I had hoped for. We had some particular requests that I felt like the Zoo was very flexible in managing. Guests loved that we had our wedding at the zoo also. The food was excellent and the animal encounters made for a unique experience too! The only two things I felt were more difficult to navigate were this - nowhere to store things overnight prior to the wedding (like a cooler/freezer for desserts brought in from off site, so they had to be brought in by family on the day of the wedding), and we got lucky I think in where we got ready for the wedding, but I'm not sure about the usual site. That's about it though, we didn't really have any issues and would totally pick the zoo again!Riverbanks Zoo & Garden's reply:

I had the best experience working with Kayleen Peretto at the Riverbanks Zoo & Gardens. I had so many requests and she was so flexible, reassuring and she allowed me to have the most beautiful wedding in the Magnolia Room in the Gardens. The gardens are absolutely stunning at night and again, I could not have done it without Kayleen. Multiple areas to hold your ceremony and reception. McKenzie answered any and all questions we had and was very quick to respond to emails. There are a ton of add-ons available to make your experience more enjoyable. Would definitely recommend!Riverbanks Zoo & Garden's reply:

A unique experience that we will cherish forever!
Our wedding day was everything we hoped for and more. Our coordinator. McKenzie Roland was such an amazing help. Kristin who was our touch point the day off also made everything easy and honestly if anything did go wrong she must of fixed it because I didn't hear anything!! The venue was beautiful and the convienence of having basically a one stop shop with venue, decor, catering and beverages made my planning much easier. Such a unique experience that Zachary and I will cherish forever.

User1523212 Sent on 01/30/2014Everyone at Riverbanks Zoo and Garden was amazing to work with. On the day of the wedding I didn't have to worry about anything. My wedding coordinator said the staff there was amazing and helped her with all of her needs. I would recommend this venue to any bride.
