    Paradise!!

We would choose Sandals Halcyon St. Lucia a million times over for our honeymoon! The facilities were beautiful and not too crowded. We never had to fight for a beach chair or table to eat at. The staff was so kind and helpful. We loved staying there for 10 days and really feeling like we were part of the Sandals family. Thank you for making our trip so absolutely perfect!!

    Awesome honeymoon

We honeymooned in St. Lucia. We had a blast! If going through Sandals for your honeymoon I recommend the Love Nest suites with Butler service. We got a free bottle of champagne every night. And a butler to assist with almost ANYTHING. The Butler arranged our excursions, our massages and transported us everywhere in a golf cart. He delivered breakfast to our room and prepared a bubble bath for us with flower petals after a long day of exploring the island. The island is BEAUTIFUL. The locals are friendly. And all inclusive is nice. All food and drinks are free. Food was delicious, entertainment was nice. our fridge was stocked daily with the drinks of our choice. we could hop on a shuttle to 2 other resorts to use their amenities for free. 24 hour room service. Our room was GORGEOUS and you could hear the waves crashing all night. HIGHLY recommend St. Lucia, Regency La Toc resort. Nice clean beach. Beautiful garden grounds. Several tours to take advantage of. attentive and friendly staff.

    Great Experience

A beautiful island and an amazing resort. We didn’t worry about anything during our stay. Only downside is we didn’t have time to try all the restaurants!

I could say confidently that choosing @Sandals for the most important day of my life was the best decision hands down. Not only did Sandals plan my wedding but they gave me an experience I will forever remember. We got married November 13th, 2016 my Original destination was Emerald Bay Exuma. I choose my wedding date during hurricane season and hurricane Mathew made his way into the Bahamas October 2016 leaving the resort significantly damaged. This meant my wedding had to be postponed or relocated. You could only imagine how I was feeling by now. With the help, understand and patience of the Sandals resort and staff we chose to relocate to Grande St. Lucia. Then it turned out the day we were going to get married was supposed to rain non stop so I freaked out and requested to get married on Sunday since it was the sunniest day in the forecast because I couldn't take anymore disappointment and stress. Amanda and her team didn't doubt to say "yes" to changing my date. Little did I know they didn't work on Sunday's and in the island of St.Lucia Sunday is considered a holy day therefore no wedding ceremonies are held. I was amazed to know not only did we make history in Grande St.lucia but Sandals really cared about my day being magical! Not only did they RELOCATE us, gave us non-stop flights, and were able to hold our wedding ceremony on a Sunday, but they even made a custom decoration so they over-the-water pier could look the way I pictured it on my special day! This was the most amazing experience ever! thank you Amanda, Monica and the Grande St. Lucia Sandals resort team for making my wedding the best day of my life!

At first I was apprehensive about choosing a Sandals for our honeymoon destination but after hearing such great reviews from friends who had been there we decided to go for it and we are glad we did. The Grande at St. Lucia far exceeded our expectations. The staff was incredibly friendly, our rooms were clean and comfortable, and the food was top notch. We paid a little extra to eat at Gordon's and candlelight on the beach and could not have been happier that we did. The Grande is definitely the best of the three Sandals resorts on St. Lucia. They have the best beach by far! We visited La Toc a few times to golf and for dinner. The French restaurant was awesome. I'm so glad we decided to stay at Sandals!

Sandals Grande St. Lucian Spa & Beach Resort was absolutely amazing! I was really worried about booking our honeymoon at a chain style resort. I thought that it would be nothing but planned beach activities and over crowded restaurants. It wasn't. It was beautiful, the food was great, and the drinks were delicious. The staff were all very friendly and at your beck and call whenever you needed them. The great thing about visiting St. Lucia is that you can hop to the other 3 Sandals resorts. We visited all 3, but the "Grande" is called the "Grande" for a reason. It is definitely the best of them all. Make sure to book your reservations before you get there for the Japanese restaurant at La Toc. It is more than a dinner, it's an experience. Toscanini's is also worth checking out! The Italian food there is perfection! You do need to make reservations ahead of time. The beaches weren't over crowded, and the views of the Piton were picturesque. We plan to visit again!

We went to Sandals St. Lucia Grande for our honeymoon and couldn't have been happier with everything! Like most people, we spent hours researching our options and reading reviews. We tortured our travel agent with questions and doubts until finally, we decided on this resort. We are so thankful that we did! Reading all of the negative reviews can be very confusing but it's all about the expectations you have, what kind of person you are and what you're looking for in a vacation or honeymoon. We live in Los Angeles (but are both from New York) so we are admittedly spoiled when it comes to food, drinks, travel and entertainment.
Our idea of a great honeymoon was something where we could relax, eat and drink. We didn't want to deal with more planning, more budgeting, and more itineraries! This was our first all-inclusive experience, although we have been on one cruise (and hated it). Our expectations were semi-low..... we sort of expected a "cruise on land" vibe, low quality food and cheesy "Sandals" logos everywhere. We were also terrified that we would be the oldest couple there (we are in our mid-30's) or that we'd be amidst a sea of "honeymooners-gone-wild." None of these things were the case! There are all kinds of couples, of all ages there. Most people are there on their honeymoon, so if you're looking to be treated like you're something special just because you're wearing a "sexy little bride" t-shirt then yes, you will be disappointed. Your experience here is really what you make of it. If you want to meet other couples and make new friends, there are plenty of opportunities and friendly people at the bars and the beach who you will meet and talk to. If you want to be alone and focus only on your husband/wife then you can do that, too and that's what we mostly chose to do. There's always an empty hammock, a quiet spot by the pool or a walk on the beach. Getting a cabana one day was our favorite thing we did. "No Pressure, No Problem" was my favorite drink (we made it a point to try all of them and they are all delicious!) The food was all wonderful. We did not go to the other resorts and other than one dinner at Toscanini's, we were happy eating dinner every night at Bayside (breakfast buffet at Bayside and breakfast at Toscanini's are both great!) Our room was lovely. We had a wonderful couples massage at the spa - worth every penny. And thanks to some great advice, we took the Jeep Safari excursion.
We truly enjoyed the "Soufriere Jeep Discovery & Waterfall Revelation” tour with our guide Nilan. The volcano, waterfall, banana plantation and fishing village were all beautiful, but it was really the star personality of Nilan that made the experience extra special. He was fun, genuine and funny - giving us a fantastic insight into the island and its true culture. We recommend taking advantage of the natural mud bath near the volcano, but be warned that the sulfur smell and stains from the mud are hard to get out of your bathing suit (so don’t wear your best suit or your jewelry).
If you're looking for a no-brainer, relaxing honeymoon/vacation and you enjoy eating and drinking then this is the PERFECT place for you! If you don't drink or like to eat (let's face it, that's what you're paying for) or if you are a hard-to-please complainer who thinks the world owes you something because you are on your honeymoon, then..... good luck to your new spouse! We will definitely be looking into other Sandals for future romantic, relaxing vacations!

We chose Sandals Grande St. Lucian for our honeymoon destination, and could not be happier with the outcome. St. Lucia is a beautiful island that offers a lot for couples seeking adventure. We chose to go explore the island for a day via catamaran, and took mineral baths followed by a cocoa tour, ending with delicious rum punch and snorkeling! You certainly do not need a Butler class room to be pampered, and the food at the restaurants exceeded all of our expectations. Our favorites were Gordon's, Bombay, and Barefoot by the Beach (all dinner menus). The beach views are awesome and I loved that you could go hiking just by taking a walk not far off the resort. The staff was always helpful, and the area in which the resort is located is secure and very clean. 'Welcome home!' We had planned to visit the other Sandals properties once we got settled, but we never ended up going as everyone was telling us that this is the resort everyone was coming to for a fun filled day! If you did want a day that wasn't so action packed, there was a very nice area of quieter luxurious pools where you can relax without music, etc. Someday, we plan to return here to re-live everything we loved about our honeymoon. Our first all inclusive experience was a great one - thanks Sandals!

We absolutely loved our trip to this Sandals resort. It was beautiful and there was lots to do. We especially loved the gift registry option sandals offered. We were able to have guests pay for some of our excusions, which were amazing. We went horseback riding through the rainforest and then in the ocean, we went ziplining, and we had a private candelight dinner on the beach, all for free because of wedding gifts! I would definitely reccomend this as a honeymoon idea!

Our destination wedding was at Sandals Grande St. Lucian, and it was fabulous! The staff is really what makes the experience come to life, but the services available are also incredible.

For a concierge level room or higher (starting at about $400 a night), a free wedding (or "weddingmoon") is included. This includes a gorgeous room with separate sitting area, balcony, flat screen, canopy bed, and amazing views. All Sandals resorts have several restaurants and bars, and this particular island boasts three different resorts, which they provide hourly shuttles so that you may play at all of them! Take advantage of this treat, as each resort was completely different from the next!

Also 24 hour room service, wedding officiant, preparing of wedding documents and contact, wedding site (ballroom, gardens, beach, or gazebo), wedding cake, cocktail hour with champagne and h'ors douerves, boutonniere, wedding bouquet. The flowers that are available in the package are not as nice as the ones available at cost. You may also choose to upgrade your cocktail hour, so bringing a little extra money for this might be a good idea. Don't forget that this is an all-inclusive resort-- food, alcohol, watersports, beach activities, and nightly parties and festivities are all included!

If you choose this as your wedding or honeymoon destination, be sure to check in daily with concierge or the front desk to see what activities may be happening that day/ night. Some resorts post them on large boards. Adults only resorts allow room for lounging quietly in hammocks, kissing on piers, drinking at night parties, and incredibly cuisine!

Sandals Grande had guests ages 21-40, whereas when we took the shuttle to the other Sandals, they catered to a much older crowd, especially Sandals Halcyon. Sandals Regency was the other resort on St. Lucia, by far the largest with the most breathtaking views and had a golf course on the resort, but Sandals Grande seemed to have a bit more of the party feel.

This is a costly trip, but as a budget-conscious couple, we have to agree-- totally worth it!

My husband and I stayed at La Toc for our 10 year anniversary June 8th through the 15th. This was one of our BEST vacations, hands down! The entire experience was fabulous. We used VIP Vacations (Emily and Jennifer) to book the trip. They literally did everything thing for us. All we had to do was pay and show up. It was great! I highly recommend using them for any of your vacation needs. They were fantastic! We opted for the butler service, which I recommend getting. If you can request Clovis, DO IT! He was THE BEST! They take care of your every need without being intrusive. It was worth it just to have them save a spot at the pool each day (the spots disappear quickly!). The food is great, especially La Toc and The Cricketer's Pub. Grounds are beautiful. Photographers took great shots. There wasn't anything we didn't like. We will definitely stay again.

St. Lucia is a beautiful unique island in the Caribbean. I definitely recommend the helicopter transfer or private transfer over the free one because this island is so hilly and winding that you get car sick. Plus, the views from the helicopter are astounding! We had butler service which was very convenient and we never wanted for anything. The food was out of this world. The only down side was I got bitten up by flies on the beach around dusk and needed to buy cortizone cream (that's that caribbean though, not the hotel's fault) We did an excursion and loved learning the St. Lucian culture and to see the rest of the island- definitely get off the resort property and explore!

The Sandals Grande St.Lucia is just an absolutely beautiful place. We went there for our honeymoon and really had a good time. I love the swim up bar, the fact that it is all incisive. We had an awesome time doing the super snorkeling excursion. My only miss hap with the place was a rude snorkel instructor, and the fact that there was not much sea food. Your probably thinking WHAT NO SEA FOOD IT'S THE CARIBBEAN! well that's what I said BUMMER! However they did have a place called bare foot which is on the sand and does have fish. I recommend to try the scallop ceviche OMG YUM. Here is another bummer there were a total of 6 restaurants and we were only allowed to go two 4, the other two which is Toscanini ( Italian) had a dress code and reservation only, the other which is Gordon's you need to have a room that has butler service and a dress code and reservation or reservations and pay $140 out of pocket. I know bummer...... However my over all experience was awesome and would defiantly do it again but need to save big bucks first

Very over rated resort. However, it is the best one on the island. Grande is better than the regency or La Toc. Grande has a bigger beach and a bigger main pool. Even though they have playmakers, daytime pool entertainment was lacking. Same Cd played over and over every day. Ocean view room was ocean view except for the palm fronds blocking the view. Main pool bar closes at 5:00. Resort was very clean. Towards the end of our stay customer service was slightly lacking. I.e. ordered room service and it was never delivered. Tried to follow up on it and the phones just rang off the hook. Neville the deville is awesome (playmaker) Augustus, JN Pierre and Sean are awesome.

A Nightmare at Sandals Grande St. Lucian - A Warning for Future Brides and Grooms

Venting is not my usual style, but after the disastrous experience at Sandals Grande St. Lucian, I feel compelled to share our ordeal to save others from a similar fate. My sister's dream wedding turned into a nightmare, and I strongly advise you to steer clear of this resort, especially if you're considering it for a wedding venue. At the very end of my review I did list some off-site vendor recommendations, for anyone who already has a trip booked.

Let's start with the basics: the air conditioning in the honeymoon suite was broken, turning the room into a sauna. Multiple complaints fell on deaf ears, forcing my sister and her fiance to endure a sleepless, sweltering night. The promised fix never materialized, leading them to move rooms at 10:00pm on the third night of their stay, only to find themselves in a downgraded space. Our request for a discount for the uncomfortable first night went unanswered by the GM.

Wedding planning was equally disastrous. We endured over four different wedding planners in the year leading up to the wedding, emphasizing the lack of communication, consistency and organization within the resort.

They booked their rehearsal dinner for the wrong day, despite our early communication with the wedding planners. The last-minute switch led to a chaotic event, missing appetizers, and a total lack of effort on the part of the staff.

The worst situation, by far, was when the hotel staff dropped a room service tray on the bride's wedding gown while we were getting ready. One of the glasses from the tray shattered, covering my sister's gown in water and glass. Her dress had to be taken off property to be "fixed". In doing so, we were late for her wedding photos because the dress wasn't back in time.

What adds a surreal layer to the unfortunate dress scenario is that we had repeatedly requested a bridal suite for the day of the wedding. Despite our efforts, our planner, whom we reached out to in the months leading up to the wedding, never responded. Even when we expressed our concerns to the GM during an in-person meeting, we received no assistance, and my multiple calls to him on the wedding day went unanswered. Consequently, we found ourselves preparing for the special day in a downgraded room (as the first one lacked AC), where her dress incurred damage due to the staff's clumsiness and the insufficient space provided.

Throughout our stay, we were plagued by a slew of issues, including constant calls for towels, an unstocked mini-bar, and receiving the wrong items – my mom was gifted earrings meant for another wedding (and the hotel never found the right party). Room service took an astonishing 2 hours, leaving us with cold food and multiple unanswered calls.

The first dance song mishap was a heartbreaking disappointment as well, with the wedding planner failing to manage the situation, leaving me to step in and do the DJ's job. The wedding planner even introduced the couple by the wrong name!

The final straw came with the arranged pickup for the bride and groom's departure, which never happened. Despite asking the front desk for luggage assistance, they were left stranded. My sister and her husband had originally planned to honeymoon at the resort, but they cancelled it because of how terrible the wedding planning process was.

I kept telling my sister it would all work out once we arrived on property, but it didn't. At the end of our stay, she told me how upset she was. She'll never get this time back and I don't want anyone to feel the way she did or experience what we went through.

In summary, our experience at Sandals Grande St. Lucian was nothing short of a disaster. Avoid Sandals at all costs – your sanity and special moments deserve better.

If you are visiting the island of St. Lucia, here are the vendors we loved working with. They were the only highlight of our terrible trip!
    1) FuntoSee Island Water Ferry for transportation
    2) Hannah Daniel for makeup
    3) Alberta Henry for photography

    Not worth $$$

Do not go, not worth the money. Sister of the groom, paid $4k for 6 nights and they would not honor the offer of the 7th night free (sister in law spent over $20k plus another 25 guests at LaToc). Chaos at the airport landing, huge customs line, all flights across U.S. seem to land at the same time. Do not let the baggage handler take your bags, the Sandals lounge is less than 50 feet behind the wall when you pass Customs. They will accost you and expect a big tip. Long bumpy shuttle ride, 3rd world roads and resort is on the opposite side of the island. Piton Mtns not close. Sales person accosts you as soon as you get there, you have to read at least 12 pages of crap on small IPAD and initial and then give you credit card for any incidentals during your stay and they try to sell you excursions. I just paid $4k +, no thanks. NOT SAFE, they let peddlers in the resort to sell you junk while you try to lay on the beach. An open gate near the rental equipment hut and a bar less than 100 feet away anyone from the island can come through. FOOD is subpar, drinks are watery, only wine in your room and NO ROOM SERVICE unless you pay for the BUTLER service. Spa overprices, $50 for fake lashes. Beach is rocky. Restaurants/food are not 24 hours and no AC but for 3. Of the 9 places to eat, some only open for a meal, not all open at the same time. Pizza is the only one you can take back to your room. Some staff are nice, but others are really slow - 20+ minutes each time I ordered iced tea. At that point, bring me a pitcher. Two towel huts for whole resort - you get your own, not even in your room. Chaos again waiting for shuttle back to the airport. Honeymoon couples are they only ones who really enjoy- do not make your guests come for a wedding. BAD IDEA - way overpriced, especially for the service and amenities you and your guests get.

My husband and I went to Regency La Toc I cannot even begin to describe how unsatisfied we were. We paid extra money for a "honeymoon hideaway" butler suite as it was portrayed that they were secluded & the big advantage was the chaise lounge chairs & plunge pool on our patio. We spent the extra money because we did not want to have to spend our honeymoon by the alarm clock to ensure we got to the pool in time to get a chair (they will only hold your chairs for you until 10am, after that they give them away and good luck to you finding one). Except the only thing we were hidden away from was the SUN! There was a path not even 15 feet from our patio with the doors to the next row of "honeymoon hideaways" so sitting on our patio enjoying private time was absolutely not possible. Because the patio was completely shaded, I could not lay in the sun out there and definitely could not use the pool as without the sun to warm it, it was like ice. There were dead bugs all over the counter in our bathroom which I figured out a day later was due to a vent with large slats that opened directly to the outside, no screen, no window, nothing. When others would walk past our room, their conversations came through so clearly we could have joined in. I found this especially mortifying as that would mean that they could also hear what was going on in our room. And you would think that for a company that focuses on romantic and special vacations for couples, that they would be more cautious of things like this and provide more privacy for their guests. The nightstand, a table and even the toilet all teetered. One night we found a blood stain on our sheets at least 2 in. long. All in all, NOT worth the money and DEFINITELY NOT what you see in pictures and advertisements. I would never recommend it!
