We just had our wedding at Sequoyah this past weekend. Everything was perfect.
The venue itself is stunning. It is such a beautiful setting for a wedding. We had our ceremony on the lawn and the reception inside. We spent the day getting ready on site and my entire bridal party kept commenting on how nice everything was. My dream was to get married amongst the redwoods and I cannot wait to see the photos from the day.
The food was next level. When I say the food was delicious, I don't mean "for a wedding". We had many guests compliment the food. I have a friend who is an admitted "steak snob". She made sure I knew how good the filet was.
Finally, the entire staff was wonderful to work with. We originally met with Andrea who showed us the venue. She was a big reason we chose Sequoyah. Andrea and Sally were helpful and flexible throughout the planning process. They were very responsive and made the process as easy as it could be. We hired a month-of coordinator who agreed they were wonderful. I would also like to mention Emma, who was so thoughtful and kind throughout the evening. After the wedding, I mentioned some of the nice things Emma did to my family and bridal party. Others had similar stories. She truly went above-and-beyond.
I cannot recommend Sequoyah enough. They gave me the perfect wedding experience!

Ah where do I start - Sequoyah (and Andrea / Sally) made our dream wedding come true! It was the perfect venue, and super reasonably priced!

I came across Sequoyah while searching Here Comes the Guide - we were looking for a place that wasn't "insanely expensive" and that would be convenient to the Bay Area. Andrea was very responsive when we scheduled a tour (and tasting) and I immediately fell in love with the giant windows, the Spanish tile, the terrace doors, and the vine-covered garden walls. And that was just after our first interaction. I was soon to learn that unlike other places, where they set ALL the super strict rules and everyone else revolves around them, Sequoyah really goes above and beyond to advise and develop your perfect event. Just the level of service alone seemed better than venues that cost 3x as much, and I truly feel like booking with them was the best decision we made for our wedding.

Over the next few months, it was like having two fairy godmothers - we'd hesitantly ask - hey we're thinking of ordering in Boba, or my fiance has a specific fish recipe for dinner, can we have napkins in fan shapes, or we can't find a hotel for our parents, or even I want to plan a small surprise for my fiance but it involves coordinating a bunch of people in secret - and always within a day, we'd get a resounding answer or often "yes, let me arrange it for you" accommodating our questions so graciously, no matter how ridiculous we felt asking. We changed our minds about whether to hold the cocktail hour indoors or outdoors and whether to book the fancy chairs (do it) the week of the wedding, and they were totally unfazed - Andrea and Sally and their teams were clearly pros.

Day of, all of our asks were realized way better than we could have even imagined. We were even able to bring up all our decor and store it the bridal suite the night before and do a quick practice run. The bridal suite was available starting the morning of, so we didn't have schedule hair and makeup elsewhere. The food was great - when they first offered to handle the boba I was skeptical, but the guests LOVED it. The lamb chop apps never made it far out the door because of adoring fans (though Andrea thoughtfully sneaked a whole plate to the bridal suite). Andrea, who was always just a delight to be around and super supportive and encouraging turned out to also be a magician, doing everything from golf cart driving to salad serving, and even supporting our day of coordinator who had been switched in by a vendor last minute due to COVID issues. Everything was perfect and she handled it with such grace and ease.

I can't recommend them enough. I'm only hoping for more life events to celebrate with them. Thank you for being awesome!

We could not have chosen a better venue than Sequoyah Country Club. After visiting many other properties, we fell in love with Sequoyah the second we entered the grounds. We were fortunate to have decent weather, allowing us to use the outdoor space overlooking the course for our ceremony and giving our guests glimpses of the bay. The size and layout of the facilities, as well as the sense of history from the architecture and décor lent to the perfect setting for our reception. We loved the towering redwood trees and massive oaks, which were featured in many of our wedding photos. We couldn’t have asked for a better staff at the event. The service was very smooth and professional, and our guests’ needs were quickly accommodated. The food was delicious, and the serving sizes were very generous. We were pleasantly surprised with the alcohol options that were made available to us for our service, as were our guests. But most importantly, our experience with management from our first visit until the final second of our night was fantastic. Andrea and Sally were a joy to work with, and their years of experience showed in both the preparation for our event and their work the day-of. We would absolutely recommend Sequoyah to anyone who is planning a wedding, or any type of special event.

We had our wedding there and it was the perfect venue for us. Sally was beyond wonderful! She helped us achieve everything we wanted (as long as it was safe) and accommodated what we needed for our cultural traditions. It was wonderful to have three different rooms to use and it gave us a lot of flexibility. We were supposed to have the ceremony outside but because of rain we had to move it indoors and it all worked out. The food was wonderful and they were very accommodating to our special requests. Everyone who attended thought the venue was a hidden gem. It makes for a beautiful backdrop for photos with a lot of variety to choose from. I also felt the costs were reasonable and didn’t have any surprises. They also were flexible with us as things had to be adjusted multiple times because of covid. I was going to give up on finding the perfect venue until I found this one and I’m so glad I did! It was everything I wanted.

What a beautiful venue. I just had my wedding there and the compliments we got were incredible. I loved the outdoor ceremony space, and the arch you can make your own. The staff is absolutely amazing. From the venue coordinators to the serving staff, everyone treats you like their own. They're very personable, and so so friendly. They think of everything you could possible need. What a smooth planning experience for a bride to have. And the food was out of this world!
All the guests absolutely loved it.

Sequoyah is at a great location with great view. I especially loved the vintage interior design of the halls / rooms. Due to COVID time, we weren’t able to host party indoor unfortunately. But Sally was great and so easy to work with. She provided us with ideas and was so flexible to help us make our wedding come true and memorable. Everything went smoothly and the food were cooked perfectly. Guests enjoyed the food and with great compliments. We had a great small intimate wedding and would love to host other indoor party there in the future.

After visiting several sites, the value, decor and service topped all the other sites. The christmas decor matched our wedding decor perfectly. Rachel Keller is straight up the best venue host we found. Thanks for making our wedding amazing!

We were so impressed with the flexibility the entire time we were planning. Brian set us at ease anytime we had concerns or special requests. The setting was absolutely beautiful for our wedding reception and the hall itself is gorgeous with lots of good space for guests to enjoy which made entertaining them easy. The food turned out fabulous and both we and our guests had a blast there. Excellent customer service, which when planning a wedding from afar takes away a lot of the headaches that come with wedding planning.

My now husband and I had our wedding here on November 10,2012. It is not only a beautiful old world Spanish style country club, but a stunning venue for a wedding. With mountain views of the bay area, extremely well kept golf course and grounds, and the inside is even more impeccable maintained!
We had the pleasure of working with there catering manager Karyn Scurti, she is professional, polite and so good at what she does! She ensured us throughout the whole process that she would do whatever's it took to get us the wedding of our dreams.....and she delivered! Her friendly and warm daminure made working with her so fun, amazing and as stress free as possible. I strongly recommend Sequoyah CC for your upcoming event, and even stronger I recommend working with Karyn Scurti, you will not be disappointed with her management abilities. I now consider her a friend!

We had our wedding reception at Sequoyah Country Club on September 1st, and it was the most beautiful, perfect night! I could not have imagined using a better venue. The country club is so beautiful that little decoration is needed. The layout is really cool because the dance floor is seperate from the dining room, so people can sit and talk without being drowned out by the music. There was another room where we had a photo booth set up, and everything just flowed perfectly. Karyn is the coordinator there, and she was so helpful throughout the process. She met with us several times to go over all of the details, and the final result was a perfect night. I highly recommend Sequoyah Country Club for a wedding, reception, or any kind of party!

Karyn provided such a high level of service, and the venue and food was great in value. The only negative mark is that the staff lost a keepsake of ours-- a cake cutter and serving set, which was a gift from a family member. Otherwise, we had a terrific experience and thank Sequoyah CC for helping execute our big day.

Outstanding venue for a wedding at a reasonable cost. The event planner was sometimes a little slow to repsond to information requests, but this improved as the wedding day approached, and she was on top of everything during the event. Everything was perfect.

We got married at Sequoyah in September. We really loved the venue and the sunset shots turned out absolutely gorgeous! The price is reasonable for a wedding. One of the things that really attracted us to Sequoyah is that we didn't have to hire an outside catering company for food- one less thing to worry about during wedding planning! Customer service was excellent, too! The team that worked on the day-of was very professional and attentive to our needs and our guests' needs. We couldn't ask for better service!

You also get a beautiful view of the bay when it's clear outside. We were really happy to book Sequoyah for our special day! :)

My parents are members of this club - and have been for years. The architecture is beautiful and the landscaping is gorgeous. We got married outside on the green. The weather was perfect, and our guests absolutely loved it. The food was great for the price, and they include many things like string lights, mirror tiles, candles, etc in the price. They also were helpful with putting out all of my DIYs, flowers, and other things. I did feel rather rushed during the dinner (dinner was served and plates collected within 45 minutes), which made my guests think the festivities ended earlier than they did. But overall, the coordinator was very helpful and flexible and we felt we got a lot for what we paid.
