  What an amazing experience! Stunning photos by Shem and his wife. They really captured the essence of an incredible day without being intrusive. We were absolutely blown away!!!

  Amazing Person & Photographer

  Shem and Rebecca were so fun to work with and created truly beautiful photos for us! Our wedding date/size/location changed twice due to covid, and each time Shem was super flexible and willing to work with us. We felt totally relaxed around them; they are both incredibly friendly and down to earth. He returned the edited photos to us quickly and sent some great sneak peeks beforehand. We cannot recommend them enough!!

  Shem and Rebecca were absolutely incredible and went above and beyond as photographers for our wedding. We got married in Yosemite, and they generously took photos for us throughout our wedding weekend at a very fair price. They went out of their way to pick the best spots for photos, and were so wonderful to work with. They were very quick about getting photos back to us- and even sent us teasers as early as the day after our wedding! The finalized photos were better then I could have imagined. They edited all of the photos (so much work!) and gave us photos with multiple versions (i.e. black and white, more warmth, etc). The photos were beautiful, and they are very talented photographers. I can't recommend these two enough. We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with them.

  I've had the privilege of following Shem Roose's photography work in snowboarding, the NBA, music, and the wedding industry, and and it was a no-brainer as to who I wanted to shoot our wedding. Words cannot even begin to express how amazing our wedding photos were by Shem, and his beautiful 2nd shooter of a wife, Rebecca were. Beyond just the end product, Shem and Rebecca were professional and absolutely delightful to work with, set up and caught great shots, and blended in with my guests seamlessly. Even people at the wedding spoke of how warm and at ease they made them feel. They caught so many candid and beautiful photos, and spent so much time and care in making sure they caught all of the days important moments. I can't recommend Shem Roose Photography enough for your wedding photography!

  I had an absolutely amazing experience working with Shem and Rebecca! Having worked with Shem on a few professional projects, I knew how talented he was - so when it came time to book a wedding photographer, he was the only person I contacted (and luckily, he was available for our date).
  
  Shem and Rebecca brought such a wonderful energy to the day - from the moment they arrived, they were just a positive, fun, and calm presence, and their willingness to go with the flow and have fun immediately put us at ease. They struck a great balance between portraits and "must-have" pictures from my list and candid, in the moment shots, many of which turned out to be my favorites of the day. They have an incredible knack for knowing when to be present and directive, and when to fade into the background and simply capture things as they unfold. I was always aware of their presence, but they were never obtrusive, and it felt like all the pictures were organic and authentically "us" - which is exactly what I was hoping for.
  
  Post-wedding, I got some sneak peeks within a few days, and had the full library of 1300+ edited shots within two weeks - which is SO nice, especially given that I have friends who've waited months to see theirs. And we own all the rights, which is great!
  
  The pictures themselves are, in a word, perfect. Shem and Rebecca captured every single special moment and then some and the pictures are absolutely stunning. They truly exceeded my expectations in every way and I could not be happier with the results.
  
  I truly think that of all the vendor-related decisions we made, hiring Shem and Rebecca to document our wedding was the best one. They really played an enormous role in making the day feel so special, and we will be treasuring their beautiful work for the rest of our lives. If you're planning a wedding, book them ASAP - you will be happy you did!

  Shem and his wife, Rebecca are rockstars. They are a truly a special pair and we couldn't be more thrilled to have them shoot our wedding. They were super flexible and willing to do whatever it took to meet our needs. What could have been such a hectic process after the ceremony, Shem/Rebecca made it so easy. They were cool and calm under pressure which made us feel that much more comfortable. We got to spend some quality time away from the party with just the four of us. In any other situation, this would have been completely awkward- but Shem/Rebecca knew what they were doing. They let us be us and it didn't even feel like we were having our photos taken. Since the wedding, our family/friends have been printing & framing photos non-stop from that day. Not to mention how many of them used their photos as their holiday cards! Needless to say, we owe a huge thank you to Shem and Rebecca. We are so happy we partnered with them as it was totally worth it. They captured a lifetime of memories for us, perfectly.

  Shem was easy going and wonderful to work with. I didn't want a traditional wedding photographer feel, and chose Shem in part for the variety of subject matter. He listened to the feel that I wanted for the evening and special requests for items I had made and wanted to document especially. He brought his wife who was delightful and great with guests in the 'photobooth' area we set up. Many of our family and friends commented as to what a great addition they were. They blending into the wedding and went above and beyond the whole night. At one point when we went outside to take a few shots alone, my 5 year old step son followed us and Shem's wife hoisted him onto her shoulders and let him hold the flash. He loved it and we couldn't have been luckier. I have received several of the photos already (under a week after the ceremony) and they're lovely. They went into a snow storm with us and captured some amazing photos inside and out.

  We can't say enough about how great it was working with Shem (and Rebecca); they captured the energy of the day perfectly. Shem has an incredible eye for light and landscape that helped us get shots that took full advantage of the venue. On top of it all, their presence was both soothing and enlivening for us and our guests; every time they took a photo it felt natural and we knew it was something we'd want to look back on.

  If you are having a wedding in VT or nearby, absolutely book them. Very reasonably priced, worked so well with us to get a lot of amazing shots. They have a wonderful eye for lighting and framing shots to make them phenomenal. The photos came out absolutely brilliant. On top of their great attitude and willingness to work with us to get great shots, one of the most impressive parts of their work is their ability to blend in seamlessly with the background. They were never in the way and we barely noticed them the entire ceremony and reception, but they were always right there any time we a good shot arose. Multiple times throughout the night my wife and/or I would be thinking that a particular point would make a great shot and, wouldn't you know it, Shem or Rebecca was always right there to snag it. Cant imagine a better duo for our wedding.
