  Perfection!

  I can't say enough great things about working with Zupenda. This is my second time utilizing her services and once again, she did NOT disappoint! Her attention to detail is phenomenal. I love that I was able to completely enjoy my day because I knew she was on it! I would without a doubt recommend Zupenda.

  We picked Zupenda pretty early on in our wedding planning process as we knew we needed someone to help us with the planning process. She was such a pleasure to work with and helped make our day go seamless. She was with us every step of the way and I don’t know how we could have done it without her!

  Zupenda is Stupendous!!!!!!

  So where do I begin. I was not in the market for a wedding planner, as Mother of the Bride I am not easy to please and I thought I could put this wedding together on my own without the added expense. So, turning this wedding over to a perfect stranger was a difficult decision, but one that was necessary for my own sanity. With the bride working nights as a nurse, my son in law getting deployed to the Middle East, COVID restrictions and the unexpected closing of our hotel and rehearsal dinner venue the need for a professional planner was essential. After reviewing the many planners on WeddingWire, we decided on Shining Moments Event Planning. My initial meeting with Zupenda, I gave her a long list of our needs and wants, and she never batted an eye. That’s when I realized she was going to bring a level of uniqueness and professionalism to our event. Within 24 hours of our initial conversation, Zupenda and her team took over. Yes, Zupenda has a team! A group of five extraordinary ladies who worked this wedding as if it was their own. A special thank you to Carolyn, Eni, Alexandra, Tamika and Nicole. We had a coordinator assigned to the bride, a coordinator assigned to the groom and the rest of the team was assigned to the venue bringing our plans to life. The team was successful in managing the bride and groom’s quirky personalities, handled the difficult challenge of wrangling in the bridal party, appeased the Father of the Bride who constantly reminded everyone how much this wedding was costing him and the demand for it to start on time. And let’s not forget my desire to make sure this day was perfect. Every element of the wedding was carried out to perfection. As much as I laughed at the FOB’s need to start on time, Zupenda made sure he got what he paid for. The doors to the ceremony closed at 5:55PM and at 6PM the bridal party entered the ceremony and the rest of the evening flowed flawlessly. If there was an issue or a problem, we never knew about it because the team handled it all. Zupenda Davis-Shining was hired to provide a service to my daughter's wedding which she and her team knocked out of the park. In this process Zupenda has become a lifetime family member. You know you had a kick*** wedding when the guests call to thank you for inviting them. No wedding should be planned without consulting Zupenda Davis-Shine of Shining Moments Event Planning.

  Zupenda was a breath of fresh air when I realized I needed help with our wedding planning. We brought her on about 2/3 months before our big day and she truly helped piece every small and large facet of our day together seamlessly. I honestly don't think our day would have been as smooth and enjoyable without the help of her and her team. We will definitely be using her services again for our anniversary celebration in the future.   To future brides and grooms, please do yourself and budget for a wedding planner. I knew that I wanted a wedding planner better yet I needed one for our new year's eve wedding!! Zupenda provides top notch wedding services to help brides and grooms make their wedding day oh so special. Unfortunately we have to postpone our reception until 12/31/2021 and Zupenda graciously blocked that day and will continue to provide her services for us next year. She is very responsive to emails and text. We never felt that we were in the dark with Zupenda. Any question you have big or small, she will get an answer for it. Choosing Zupenda was one of the best decisions we made and we hope that you do too!

These are the qualities that any bride and groom should seek when researching for event planners. Shining Moments Event Planning is truly an exceptional company. As a bride-to-be, she has been patient and understanding with this pandemic and the constant date changes She took charge of reaching out to my vendors and getting new contracts. I can go on and on about how wonderful Zupenda and her company have been. I highly recommend this company.

  Timely communication and great management skills

  Zupenda worked tirelessly for months, timely answering emails from my team and other teams to prevent the bride and groom from getting overrun. Weddings are a day they have little experience with and she did a great job communicating and managing everything from flowers, photo, DJ, and more. She was on top of everything there on the day of the wedding. Great work!

  Working with Zupenda Davis-Shine and Shining Moments Event Planning was one of the best decisions I made in planning my wedding. Hiring a day-of-coordinator was on my wish list of items I wanted to have, but wasn't sure there was room in the budget for. I'm so glad that we were able to find room in our budget to add her services. She was extremely professional and knowledgeable; she knew to ask questions I hadn't even thought about. Many of my other vendors commented saying it was extremely easy to work with her. She was very responsive to correspondence, both with myself, and my other vendors. Zupenda also put me in touch with other vendors to complete our day. On the day of, I had no stress and all I had to worry about was marrying my husband. It was truly a pleasure working with Zupenda and Shining Moments Event Planning and I will definitely use their services in the future.

  Where do I start? Zupenda Davis-Shine was a absolute gem. We hired her as our Day of Wedding Coordinator for our destination wedding and she rocked. As a same gender couple there are many small obstacles to overcome. Z was confident, affirming and supportive throughout. Most importantly to me her attention to detail and organization were top notch. She held me accountable and made sure nothing was forgotten. She always made sure I was ok and anything I was worried about she assisted with. Brides you need her on your Team, it will make a stressful experience so much better TRUST ME. I have even hired her for my personal event services after the amazing job she did to get us married.
