We couldn't have asked for a better location for our wedding! Gordie was the extremely helpful and responsive throughout the whole wedding process. All of our guests kept complimenting how wonderful and beautiful the venue was. I highly recommend this venue & I am so happy that we had our wedding here. Thank you, Gordie! -

We are so glad we had our wedding ceremony and reception at Silver Queen Farm. We loved working with the owner, and all of our guests kept complimenting us on the barn and farm scenery. The owner was very responsive, flexible and helpful. He recommended a number of vendors that we included in the day, and they were all excellent as well. We loved that it was a working vegetable farm (you’ll find restaurants throughout Ithaca using his potatoes), and that we can come back and visit and pick strawberries when we're in town. We wanted an outdoor ceremony, and luckily the weather cooperated, but we were so glad there was an indoor ceremony option (there was rain in the forecast). We cannot recommend using Silver Queen Farm enough! -

This venue was everything we wanted and more! We didn’t have to worry about renting tables or chairs, find parking, or alcohol or noise permits etc. The venue offered its own beauty and the country backdrop was perfect for our ceremony. I definitely recommend booking the day before your wedding to give you time to set up. Gordie was super responsive leading up to the wedding and the day of. I just keep referring to the day as “perfect”, there is no other way to describe our wedding! -

We couldn't have asked for a better location for our wedding! Gordie was the most flexible, responsive, and respectful person I could have asked to work with. I was planning my NY wedding from CA and juggling time zones and logistics, and Gordie was always ready with a response. He made my planning so much smoother than it could have been! He even allowed my family to preview the location before we could see it for ourselves.
It was so nice knowing that I didn't have to rent tables, chairs, etc. The kitchen was perfect for our catering company (Word of Mouth is fantastic!), and our bartenders even brought in a canoe bar for our event! (Bartenders Next Door is great!). The kitchen made clean-up and return a breeze for the vendors.
Having clean, onsite restrooms that were handicap accessible was great for our guests, and the parking for cars and a motorcoach was convenient and plentiful.
In early June, everything was beautifully green, and the weather was perfect. Our guests had a blast playing yard games, dancing, and admiring the beautiful architecture of the barn.
We would choose Silver Queen Farm all over again if we had to! Thank you, Gordie! -

Gordy was simply amazing. He was so helpful and informative, very accommodating, and over all a great guy. The venue was beautiful, and even though it rained and we had to have the ceremony inside, everything came together. He had a backup plan for his backup plan and made everything flow smoothly the day of the wedding. We would definitely have another large event there in the future if we ever needed to. -

Silver Queen Farm was the perfect venue for my wedding. Gordie was incredibly responsive, easy to work with, and so accommodating. The barn is an extremely affordable venue, yet it is beautiful and allows for lots of flexibility in choosing your own vendors and decorations. I would highly recommend of Silver Queen Farm. -

The queen of all finger lakes wedding venues!
If we could do it all over again, we would keep choosing Silver Queen for our wedding venue every time! Gordie is so easy to work with - as everyone else has said. From beginning to end Gordie made everything as stress-free for us as possible with his "can do" attitude and responsiveness. The barn and surrounding landscape suited us perfectly; our family and friends continue to comment on the "positive vibe" of our wedding. We attribute a huge portion of this positivity to the space Gordie has created at Silver Queen! We are already dreaming of having an anniversary party here. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! -

Silver Queen is an excellent wedding location. We did both our ceremony and reception there, and Gordie was very accommodating to the guest count, what we wanted, and how we wanted it done. He also gave very constructive feedback on my ideas, and let me know what would work better. Our day ended up running so smoothly and we had a great time. -

Don’t settle for a catering hall, Silver Queen Farm is the ideal setting for your wedding
Silver Queen Farm was the perfect venue with a picturesque outdoor backdrop and plenty of indoor space as well. The barn has all the accommodations you could want: kitchen prep area, speaker system, tables, chairs, parking, and a great host who makes your big day a breeze. We were so lucky to have great weather and were able to utilize the gourgous field for our ceremony and cocktail hour, but had the weather been uncooperative we felt at ease knowing that we could move everything inside and have just as wonderful of an event. 160 people did not feel a bit crowded and the layout of the barn allowed us to personalize the space so it didn’t feel like we were having someone else’s wedding. Gordie is an absolute pleasure to work with and was easy to communicative with. The pricing is incredibly affordable for what your get and compared to other venues Gordie already has everything you need there (you don’t have to rent tables, chairs, or bathrooms) and you are under no obligation to use any specific caterer. Our wedding day in September of 2018 turned out to be better than we could have imagined. Gordie was incredibly flexible and allowed us the freedom to decorate the venue exactly how we wanted to. The wild flowers in the summer and fall are breathtaking for outdoor pictures and the barn itself is truly incredible. I highly recommend this venue! -

My day was perfect in all aspects, I loved being able to have outdoor and an attractive and secure indoor space for whatever weather. I would choose Silver Queen over and over again!

User2353303 Sent on 10/06/2015What a great place for a wedding! We had our reception here. To start, we stopped in one day (about 11 months before our wedding) and met with the owner who was usually at the barn. He was so relaxed and flexible! He told us that the barn books very quickly, so we spent no time booking it. Throughout the process, Gordy (the owner) was so helpful and easy to work with! He was open to many ideas about the barn, and was willing to help us with anything we needed, such as arranging furniture, setting up tables and chairs, working with our caterer, helping us figure out the sound system, etc. My husband and I were micro-managing just about every detail, so it was nice to be working with someone who could help us with all the little details.
The price: Very reasonable! At Silver Queen, the price was about half of what it was at other venues in the Finger Lakes region. Serving alcohol was also not as difficult as it would have been at other venues.
The size: Very big! I think the venue could fit 200, total. We had about 140 guests, which fit nicely in the main part of the barn. The other side of the barn was used for food. There was also a large kitchen area, which was very convenient for our caterer.
The look: The inside of the barn was beautiful! Beautiful light fixtures and ceiling! Around the barn was surrounded in lawns, fields and crops. It provided lots of room for our guests to roam freely and play games!
The location: We got married in Ovid, which was about 22 minutes from the reception cite. I suggest telling guests to carpool. Other nearby towns, such as Watkins Glen and Montour Falls, were about 20 minutes away. Trumansburg is the closest town, which might be about 10-15 minutes away. -
User2268781 Sent on 08/13/2015Silver Queen Farm was the perfect venue for our wedding. We wanted a relaxed outdoor feel, but we also wanted a great indoor space. The barn is absolutely stunning. It's amazing how quickly it dresses up with tablecloths and candles! Gordie was so nice to work with. Very easy-going and willing to help with whatever we needed. One of the few places that didn't have restrictions or requirements for vendors. It ended up raining on our wedding day, and we were very thankful to have the indoor space. Even with the rain we were able to leave the barn doors open part of the time and still get the outdoor feel. Loved it!
