  Perfect wedding

  Katlyn is truly talented at what she does. She is professional and attentive and always helpful. I would not have been able to accomplish what she did by myself. My daughter’s wedding was absolutely beautiful thanks to Katlyn.

  Southern Gates is the BEST!

  Katlyn was absolutely amazing as our wedding planner! She met with us many times throughout the planning process, was always very organized, and made everything come together the day of the wedding. I could not have imagined a more perfect night, and it would not have been possible at all without Katlyn and her team at Southern Gates. She set us up with all of the vendors and did ALL of the decorations and arrangements. It was absolutely gorgeous. She is so knowledgable and great at planning weddings, and I am SO happy we booked with Southern Gates! Absolutely worth every penny!

  The best day ever!

  Katlyn and her team were nothing short of amazing! Everything went so perfect the day of the wedding and they took all of my stress away. They were very attentive and kept my mind at ease throughout the whole day. Our wedding wouldn’t have been the same without them!

  Wonderful experience!

  Southern Gates Weddings and Events and the owner Katlyn Gates and her team were phenomenal! I originally was going to do everything myself and then decided to hire a wedding planner. Katlyn stepped right in and was a miracle worker. She had lists of vendors that she has close connections with and was able to make everything totally stress free for the groom and me. She listens and is patient and is totally organized. I had zero stress knowing she was in charge and had everything under control.

  Katlyn took my wedding on by storm! Literally. (It rained on my wedding day but I didn't even know it, because Katlyn kept me away from all windows and preoccupied to even worry abut the weather!) Months leading up to my wedding, Katlyn made herself available for every little detail and answered every single phone call! She met with me more times than I think we even agreed upon in her contract - just to calm my nerves. Thank you to Katlyn & her team for making my wedding such a success!

  My Dream Wedding Experience

  Mine and Jason's day was truly exactly the way we wanted it without trying much at all. At times we felt like everything was falling apart and we didn't know if it would even happen. All we knew is that our love is true and God's power is strong and this made the day happen. God brought exactly the people we needed to us to make a beautiful day. One of these people was my good friend Katlyn Gates​​ owner of Southern Gates Weddings & Events. I called her at the last minute knowing I needed a director to run the show, I couldn't do it on my own and I wanted my family and friends to be able to enjoy the day. Katlyn not only stepped in the help but blew everyone away with her knowledge and expertise in the wedding feild. I got loads of complements after the wedding was over directed toward Katlyn. She knows what she's doing and she takes care of every little detail from making sure mine and Jason's car was all packed up with our belongings and even personalized cups and napkins from the day, fixing our plates and treating us like prince and princess, and making sure I was packed for the honeymoon, to making contacts for with my photographer, florist, and musicians to make sure everyone was on the same page. She thought of things I would have never dreamed or considered. Katlyn has natural talent in the wedding buisness and if you are wanting a beautiful day that is worry free you need to contact Southern Gates!

  Katlyn was amazing from start to finish. I was initially on the fence about hiring a wedding planner; but I am SOO glad I did. She was responsive from our first meeting to my wedding day. She had great ideas and saw my vision of how I wanted my wedding day to go. She ensured we were both on the same page. She paid close attention to detail every step of the way. On the day of my wedding, I knew that Katlyn would handle everything and she definitely came through for me. My day was a success because Katlyn was there to help me. I would definitely recommend her services!

  Katlyn and her team saved my life on my wedding day! They helped plan my wedding every minute up until the day. I planned the wedding but she helped keep me on task and not fall behind. We had meetings like two or three times a month to get everything together. And on my wedding day, when my dress ripped, she worked her magic and sewed and safety pinned me back into my dress. She is perfect!

They folded ALL 250 of my wedding programs, took care of all of my many different decorations and unique touches that I wanted included at the wedding and reception and put them up for me and took them down too. She kept in contact with all my vendors and kept me on track with my timeline and budget. Katlyn and her team went above and beyond on the wedding day when the weather did not cooperate and they had to make last minute decisions in the best interest of the reception. You never would have known there was ever another plan for the reception, every thing was completed so smoothly and the whole team was continuously checking on myself and my groom through the reception. Southern Gates Weddings and Events allowed me and helped me to have the wedding of my dreams. They are who you want behind the scenes, by your side, front and center and all around when planning your wedding!
