Matthew Styles was by far the best DJ we could have asked for. He exceeded all expectations for quality of service, he was professional, yet fun, and had our crowd on their feet the entire night. We can't say enough great things about him, and highly recommend his DJ Services for your wedding! 100/10 -

DJ Styles was an integral part of our wedding day!! He had folks on the dance floor for the whole evening; managed our timeline so include speeches, games, [Irish] sing-a-longs, and send-off; and brought the coolest extras to make this day absolutely perfect. My guests were on the red carpet at the mirror photo booth all night long and we have memories from this to last a lifetime. One of the most special pieces was the personalized monogram and photo booth overlay to include a wave and a mountain with our names and our wedding date. Another was the photo montage rolling throughout the event to display our memories on our most special day. He even mic'd our officiant to be heard at our outdoor wedding on the river. I have since referred hime to three of my friends for their weddings... Styles is your DJ!!! -

DJ Styles is absolutely phenomenal at his craft! He knows exactly how to keep the party going and reads the crowd for which song to play next. He's extremely nice and personable and offers help all along the way during the planning process. We are so thankful we picked him to be a part of our wedding day! He went above and beyond and we couldn't be happier! From the ceremony, to announcements and first dances all the way to the reception he was wonderful! Pick him for your wedding or any event you need a DJ, you WON'T regret it!! -

Matthew was beyond amazing! We ended up booking him last minute and luckily he had a cancellation! He made our wedding day so perfect! He was very responsive and accommodating. No one left the dance floor the entire reception! The next day all our guests kept complementing how great the music and party was! We also really enjoyed the mirror photo booth! The pictures and memories we will have forever are irreplaceable. Wish we could give more than 5 stars! -

Matthew Styles was the perfect fit for our wedding. Due to covid we had to change our wedding plans multiple times and Matthew pivoted with us without question. He's willing to do what it takes to ensure you have the perfect wedding day and we were fortunate to have him as our dj. We'll be back for a vow renewal in a few years and Matthew will be the dj we call! -

DJ Styles was absolutely amazing. We were beyond satisfied having him as our DJ for our wedding. I was so stressed during the wedding planning process & honestly, deciding on my music selections was what stressed me the most. Having the right music was so important to me because music can make or break the experience. Long story short, all of those fears went out the door during the phone consultation my husband & I had with him. We both immediately knew he was going to nail it, & he did. He was very helpful & responsive to any questions & concerns we had during song selections. He was always available, patient & kind. One concern I had was how to select music to appease all of our guests because we had a diverse group of people. Not a problem at all. Everyone said our DJ was amazing! I couldn’t agree more. If we ever need a DJ in the future, we will definitely use DJ Styles again. No doubt about it! Thank you so much for making our day perfect. We all had an amazing time & you killed it! -

Disappointed with the DJ service provided for our Outer Banks beach wedding, but significantly more disappointed by Matthew completely ghosting me and my wife's request for a conversation after the fact.
Our beach ceremony was supposed to begin at 5 p.m. The contract states that the DJ would be on site no later than 2 hours prior to the wedding. The DJ arrived at 5:45 p.m. (not a typo). Communication from the DJ and Matthew while we were waiting on the beach was infrequent. Because of the DJ arriving almost 3 hours after contractually obligated, everything was hurried on setup as we were fighting the sunset and high tides. No music was provided for our guests as they congregated on the beach and we all played the waiting game.
To make matters worse, the DJ did not play any of the requested songs that we went over (processional, father/daughter, recessional). We had one reading, which our nieces tried to do, but the microphone the DJ provided them did not work. They read it a second time, hoping the DJ would be able to get it figured out, but it wasn't operational.
The DJ's lateness impacted our ability to get photographs before sunset, and we also had to rearrange catering plans for our reception. We literally had to move the wedding altar, and our seated guests, up from the approaching tides. All in all, it was a cluster.
We've been asking for a conversation with Matthew over the course of the last 2 months, but he has refused to even respond to multiple requests through text, email and Venmo. We've submitted a complaint through the Better Business Bureau, which to no surprise, he has chosen to ignore. Steer clear of Styles Productions. Matthew will say all the right things leading up to your special day. We understand mistakes happen, but his refusal to have a conversation about how his company fell well short of our expectations on one of the biggest days of our lives - should tell you all you need to know about how he runs his business. It's not worth trusting Matthew with your wedding. There are plenty of other OBX DJ's. Give them your business instead. -

I wish I could give him zero stars. I waited for an HOUR on my wedding day for the DJ to arrive when the contract stated he would be there no later than two hours prior to the event. Not only was he late, the music for my ceremony was wrong. We specifically went over the songs and exact timing of the songs to be played and it was ALL wrong. Late, okay. Wrong music, okay. Then during the ceremony our nieces were supposed to do a reading. The microphone for our nieces didn’t work. They went through the reading once and we attempted to fix it second time they went through it. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. To make matters worse we reached out after to ask for a conversation and he said sure I’ll get in touch with you, but he never did. We made many efforts to get in touch with him hoping that he would at minimum offer an apology but he couldn’t be bothered to honor his word that he would get back to us. Completely unprofessional! What we paid for was NOT provided. If I can save one bride from having to deal with the stress brought on by this DJ that would be great. Our guests waited in silence for an hour when pre wedding music was promised, we lost an hour of sunlight for the photography we paid for and our ceremony set up had to be moved because of the tides. All very stressful on a day that is supposed to be filled with joy. Leading up to the event he was responsive and professional, but after he was paid he did not deliver. He states on his website, “ I'm not a giant company, I am DJ Styles and I will treat EVERY event as if I need to give the performance of a lifetime.“ I’m posting this after two months of attempts by my husband and myself to get in touch with him and give him the opportunity to make this right. -
