  The wedding of my dreams

  Marlette and Lisa are amazing. We are from the St. Joseph,MN area...so the Barn is about a 2hr drive for us. From day one they answered all of our questions and responses were instant. From dealing with a difficult vendor to a little hiccup of rain the day of the wedding, they were on top of it. They gave advice when it was needed. Keeping the bride and groom relaxed the day of, as well as tending to the entire wedding party. They truly made our fairy tale wedding come to life. We got the outside wedding of our dreams with the most beautiful dinner and dance in the hayloft. The food is AMAZING. All of my guest walked away saying it was the best wedding food they have ever had. They all enjoyed the late night mac and cheese bar, which I wish we could eat every night. Num. I cannot say enough about them. If you are looking for a beautiful barn wedding with amazing food and coordinator, this is the place. Thank you so much Marlette, Lisa, and the staff at The Barn at Five Lakes for making our wedding day dreams come to life.

  Exactly what I hoped for!

  Planning a wedding in MN from NYC could have been very difficult but everyone here made it so much easier. They truly understood my vision and made it happen for me! Such a stunning venue, I highly reccomend it!

  The Barn at Five Lakes Resort was the best possible thing to happen to our wedding. We loved everything about this venue. Marlette (the event coordinator) was a miracle worker. I would pick this venue again in a heartbeat. From start to finish I have not one negative comment about the barn and its staff.

  Everyone at the Barn at Five Lakes was amazing. We couldn't have asked for a better weekend. As a bride, I was not stressed at all because of the staff. Every detail was thought out and executed perfectly. I would highly recommend them!

  Wonderful Experience!

  We could not have been happier with our wedding here. The combination of perfect weather and the beautiful setting made our special day one we will never forget. We received so many compliments on our wedding from our guests. In addition, everyone at the resort was wonderful to work with and the food was outstanding. Highly recommend!

We live 3 1/2 hours away from the resort so planning a destination wedding can definitely cause some stress but everyone at Five Lakes was so great about staying in contact with us for the entire planning process and making sure every detail was covered! We definitely recommend having your wedding at The Barn at Five Lakes Resort. It is a beautiful location and is great for indoor and outdoor weddings! All of our guests raved about the venue and thought it was a great place to get married.

  Our wedding couldn’t have been better!!! The Barn at Five Lakes made our wedding dreams come to life! They took care of us and had our best interest in mind through the whole process. We encourage anyone considering getting married in the Frazee/Detroit Lakes area to check out The Barn for your venue!

  Mareltte and the entire five lakes team was amazing! They made our wedding so personal. We really wanted a relaxed but elegant atmosphere, to celebrate with our family and friends. It was exactly what we hoped for. Marlette made planning our wedding easy, even though we were planning from two states away! We can not speak highly enough of Five Lakes.

  Marlette was super willing to work with us and she offered suggestions based on her experience when we didn't know exactly what we were looking for. She offered ideas and her professional opinion to make our day go very smoothly and without any hiccups. I would highly recommend anyone use The Barn to do their wedding.

  We were so happy with our choice of venue with The Barn at Lake Five. The whole process was made easy by the Fair Hills staff! Marlette was such a joy to work with! Always answered our texts and helped us with all of our questions and decisions along the way!

  Excellent venue with staff that can meet any request. Every detail was spot on. Especially given torrential rain, cold and wind . The staff was flexible and accommodating to ensure we had a perfect weekend. Highly recommend !

  Let's start off with the venue... WOW! Everything about our wedding day was perfect, the venue was beyond what I ever imagined (as I toured in February for our July wedding). The grounds are beautifully cared for. From start to finish every detail was covered. We had the pleasure of working with Marlette, who answered every one of my questions promptly.
  
  The staff was wonderful. The food was delicious. The venue is so beautiful. The weather was perfect (even if it rained they had a back up plan for us). I couldn't have imagined a better day.

  Wonderful venue, they do everything!

  Catering, bartenders, set up and tear down. It even came with a wedding coordinator! I wouldn’t change a thing. We got ready in the cabin right across from the barn and drove down to the ceremony site in front of the lake. It was beautiful the food was AMAZING. Highly recommend The Barn at Five Lakes for your wedding!

  The Barn At Five Lakes was an amazing place to have our wedding. They were extremely accommodating to our needs and helped us with every decision along the way. The scenery is awesome and looks awesome in photographs. I would absolutely recommend this venue to everyone!

  So glad we chose this venue for our wedding! Five Lakes Resort was so flexible and accommodating. It was perfect to have the resort to ourselves for the weekend. Food was amazing and everyone had a great time! We found some awesome photo spots around the property which we loved!
