Absolutely stunning flowers and so amazing to work with!

Jessie is so talented and awesome to work with! She created two beautiful bouquets for my COVID-19 elopement and bridal portraits, as well as a stunning flower crown! I highly recommend her for and The Farmstead at Gentlesman's Ridge.

The Farmstead was just perfect for our daughters wedding! This venue is not only beautiful but the service we received was incredible. The catering service was the best we have ever experienced. Our guests raved about the food and the pricing is very fair. We would definitely consider this venue for our next event. This venue is second to none in the Danville area!

I could not recommend Gentleman's Ridge enough. The venue is gorgeous, the food is delicious, and the people are absolutely wonderful. You won't regret choosing them.

The venue itself is fantastic. We were supposed to have our wedding outside, but wound up inside because of rain. The banquet hall is so nice it almost seemed like we had planned to have the ceremony inside the whole time. Susan is always easy to get a hold of and willing to help in anyway she can. We were able to visit the venue multiple times with questions and she never rushed us. On top of that we were able to set up on Wednesday, which gave us time to breath and relax before the wedding on Saturday. (Note: This is not ALWAYS an option if there are other events booked during the week.) The catering is amazing and having it on site is very helpful. Her staff is very professional and helped make our wedding day go by smoothly. I worked as a professional wedding videographer for years and I can tell you this is one of the best options in this area, if not the best. Give them a visit, look at pictures taken there, and ask around. You will be happy you gave Gentleman's Ridge a chance.

My wedding was at The Farmstead last year before the new Banquet Hall was built. I had my ceremony outside in front of the 200 acre field lined with pine trees in the distance. My wedding had garden influences, so I loved the stepping stones that they had leading up to the cross where we said our vows. We rented a large peak tent for our reception, which turned out great, but I would have loved to have been able to have my reception indoors in the new Banquet Hall, which is gorgeous and would have gone right along with my wedding decor and theme. In my opinion, one of the greatest qualities about The Farmstead is how versatile it is. They now have two ceremony locations--one more classic (some may say rustic or country) where I had mine; another is more secluded and woodland with cypress trees surrounding the perimeter and large trees hanging over the trellis area and partly shading guests. With fairy or string lights in the trees it would be truly magical (I'm helping a friend plan her wedding there next summer!) So, as you can see, both ceremony location options are unique, and depending on your wedding vision, both go great with the adorable "Tavern" they offer as a bar location and the banquet hall for the reception, which I should mention is beautiful, but also completely transformable according to the feel you want your wedding to have. Simple white walls, light fixtures, and rock fireplace would go with any decor ideas and I think really helps make every wedding there unique (which I liked because I didn't want my wedding to look exactly like any other wedding that would be held there.) Lastly, I want to brag about the food, which so many of my guests raved about, as well as the photographer and D.J. listed on their website. I used all three of these recommendations and they were wonderful. As a wedding planner myself, I have so many great things to say about this venue and know I will be working with them in the future!

Susan and her daughter Jessie are absolutely WONDERFUL to work with! They are very accommodating and easy to work with! Susan has been in the catering business for many years and has seen a lot of pros and cons to many different wedding venues that she has worked with and has put all of her experience together to create this wonderful venue! We were one of the first weddings in the new banquet hall and it is amazing - really I personally had no cons! The only downside my husband and I found were the only two outside options they had for the ceremony location. You had either right in front of a cow pasture, or a very old red barn. The banquet hall is so gorgeous, then the ceremony areas are very rustic so they don't go together. Also, walking out to the ceremony from the banquet hall is where all the cars are parked, so the pictures of my dad and I walking to the ceremony and down the aisle together have nothing but cars in the background. But honestly, these were small cons compared to everything you get. The food is absolutely amazing as well! We had SO many compliments on everything and I guarantee if you go with this venue you will not be disappointed! I sincerely cannot speak highly enough about the people and place at The Farmstead :)

The Farmstead at Gentleman's Ridge Farm's reply:

We are so sorry you were not pleased with the outside ceremony locations we were offering at that time. We wish our new outside location behind the banquet hall would have been completed in time for your wedding, as you may have preferred its more serene, woodland appeal over the more rustic pasture. Since you were the first wedding since the addition of the banquet hall, many of the features we planned to offer were either unfinished or in their beginning stages. Also, we should have stressed the difference that using the lattice doors can make when you are using the "pasture location" for your ceremony. If the bridal party is taken right up to the lattice doors it makes more of a grand entrance for the bridal party and the bride. Then, with the help of the wedding planner closing the lattice and the photographer knowing when to click to capture that special moment, all of the car shots could have been eliminated. Again, we apologize for not stressing that to your wedding director and photographer. We hope that you were satisfied overall and we thank you for being so understanding as we were still making finishing touches on the landscaping and details outside the banquet hall in April.
    Take care,

    The Farmstead

    Poor Venue

Was very disappointed. Bridesmaids had to clean up trash from previous party. Was a mess left. Two dead rats had to be removed. Flowers for the arch was not what was asked for. Not worth the money paid. Was pathetic. No bigger than a small centerpiece for a table. Groomsmen had to move the benches for the guest to set on. They were nasty. Venue was supposed to clean them up and stabilize them and never did Would not tell anyone to use this venue
