The Mariner's Museum has a wonderful staff and they stayed in communication with us the entire time. The garden was beautiful with a fountain and the staff was so helpful with planning the event and contacting the vendors. Our guests were in awe over this venue and were really impressed. Guests were also welcome to explore the museum's exhibits! We had a wonderful wedding thanks to this venue and the great event planning staff. -

Beautiful garden woodland wedding!
My daughter's wedding event at the Mariner's Museum was an incredibly beautiful and precious event! The ceremony was held outdoors in the South Courtyard and they held a tree-planting ceremony as a form of their new life together. The courtyard was a perfect location! The reception was held in the front, gold-eagle room and everything was picture perfect! Because another wedding event had cancelled, and the COVID restrictions had not been completely lifted (at 1 month prior to the wedding) we were offered the entire museum for the wedding! It was absolutely wonderful! The guests were able to walk through the different galleries and enjoy h'ors d'oeuvres while photos were being taken in the Courtyard, and everything was absolutely perfect! Kelsey from the museum was so friendly and easy to work with. She was incredibly kind and helpful and timely in her responses to my many emails. She was a major part of making my daughter and new son-in-love's special day like a magical fairytale and full of wonderful memories!The Mariners' Museum and Park's reply:

We didn't end up getting married here but I'd still recommend them. When the original shutdown happened in March they immediately went to work on backup and alternate plans with couples. They allowed us to put soft holds on dates in Fall 2020 - Spring 2021 even though our original contract said we could only postpone up to 6 months out. The staff responded pretty quickly to all emails (including pre-COVID) and were great at answering our questions.

The event staff at the Mariner’s Museum truly goes above and beyond! My husband and I had our ceremony in the courtyard and our reception in the Huntington/Anna rooms. Jennifer and all of the ladies in the event staff were professional, prompt, and excited about our big day! Everyone at the museum really went the extra mile, from helping pin on boutonnieres for the boys, to walking around flipping lights on and off to help the photographer! I couldn’t have dreamed of a more beautiful space for our ceremony, or a better group to help us pull it all together!The Mariners' Museum and Park's reply:

We are SO HAPPY we chose the Mariners' Museum to use as our wedding venue. I had been looking for a cool spot that had visual elements already in place in the room, that wouldn't require excessive decorating. This was it! We loved the eagle as the back drop for our head table, the large window and lighthouse for our ceremony space, the ship as the dance floor. Everything was so unique compared to more traditional wedding venues, and we took advantage of the option to keep the museum loop open during our reception, which the guests really enjoyed. They had also restructured the packages since we originally signed the contract, and the ability to use the entire main lobby side of the building allowed us to separate the ceremony, cocktail, and reception spaces.
The team at the museum was so great to work with. They were very helpful in suggestions for layout and working with our vendors for setup, and I loved that their list of approved caterers helped us easily narrow down options without having to look at everyone in the area. It was also super helpful that all tables and chairs were included and setup prior to our arrival the day of the wedding.
Overall, I absolutely recommend the Mariners' Museum for your wedding venue. We had a great experience!The Mariners' Museum and Park's reply:

Rebecca Sent on 10/24/2017Jennifer and Cassedy were extremely helpful and accommodating. They helped keep me on track for my original vision and the South Courtyard was the perfect setting! The entire night ran smooth and I wouldn’t change a thing. Worth every penny and then some!

I had been working with The Mariners Museum (Jennifer, Bree, Kelsey) for a year during my planning process and I always got a quick response when I had a dozen questions! The ceremony was outside in the South Courtyard, which was absolutely beautiful and perfect for pictures. Our cocktail hour was along the veranda - it was cold since we had our wedding in mid-November, but it has such a nice ambiance with the string lights. Plus it was a romantic, quiet getaway from the reception! The reception was held in the Huntington and Anna Room, and we had an absolute blast and there was plenty of room for everyone to dance all night long!!The Mariners' Museum and Park's reply:

User2116435 Sent on 05/02/2015My husband and I had went on a "random date” at the Mariners’ Museum and after much consideration, we could think of no other place to have our reception. Krystina went above and beyond to help us from the beginning phases until our big day! She was on site the day of and she was able to help out our wedding planner with any questions, concerns, etc. Mariners’ Museum, the Huntington and Anna room specifically, was transformed into a perfect place for a reception and it fit into our budget and accommodated the amount of guests we had planned to attend. We used the South Courtyard for a huge group picture.The Mariners' Museum and Park's reply:
