    Amazing Venue

    The Mayo Hotel was the perfect wedding venue. Besides the venue being (obviously) beautiful, the event staff went above and beyond. Lauren was our wedding coordinator, and I could not be happier with her service. She was so attentive and made sure everything was perfect. There were a couple hiccups in the day, but she made sure that I was not aware of them and fixed them as soon as possible. She worked with us to make sure that our wedding day was truly "us" (she even helped me "ice" my husband at our reception!). The staff that worked the event was also great. When champagne was splashed into my eyes, one of the workers promptly provided me with Visine! And the food was absolutely delicious -- we are still getting compliments on it! I could not imagine my wedding reception being anywhere but The Mayo!

    Breathtaking

    We used the Mayo for multiple wedding events (2 venue areas and catering plus the bar) over the course of the weekend as well as the accommodations for the guests. Several guests from out of town said it was the nicest hotel they’ve ever stayed in. The Crystal Ballroom is breathtaking and historic and you cannot beat the photos you will get on the staircase in the Grand Hall. We used The Mayo for some of the catering because we served Indian food at the reception, and all of the food and desserts were delicious. Staff was present and amazing during the whole day and if there were any issues of any kind, they never came to my attention.

    We had both our ceremony and reception The Mayo and it was stunning! We had a lot of out of town guest and the hotel was treated our guest amazing! Big shout out to Lauren and Morgan for making our special night run so smoothly!

    Also, the food is amazing!

    Absolute perfect location for our 20's-themed reception! The staff was very efficient, and the food and beverage selection and service were great. Glad they were there to help us celebrate such a special occasion!

    The Mayo Hotel made my wedding dreams come true! The Event and Design Team is amazing!! They made sure everything was perfect and the night was amazing! I highly recommend The Mayo for a wedding venue! The BEST place in Tulsa, OK!

    I really enjoyed working with Nicole from the Mayo. She was very responsive to all my questions and easy to work with. The food was delicious and the staff was great! There was one small problem with some lights not working at the reception, which ended up not being a big deal and the charge was credited back to us with no issues.

    The Mayo Hotel was out venue for our wedding and reception. It was beautiful. The food and drinks were absolutely amazing. The ceremony venue was simply perfect. We could not have picked a better place to have our wedding. Shelby and her team at The Mayo were wonderful and very helpful during the entire process.

    Very Pleased! Nicole - Wedding Coordinator did an amazing job. She was well organized great to work with. We had a buffet meal the food for 200 people was outstanding. Cooked fresh! Our guest are still taking about the food and how beautiful the venue was.

    Beautiful location, both the ceremony room & ballroom looked fantastic. Staff was friendly & helpful, food was AMAZING! Service & accomodations were perfect. Just wish overnight guests weren't charged for parking on their bills.

    This place is FANTASTIC! It has such an awesome history, and is now one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever seen! Our suite was amazing, the Jacuzzi tub was luxurious, and the shower even sprays from the walls as well as the top! The bed was super comfortable, and I plan on buying some of their pillows ASAP! In the heart of downtown, it's very classy and elegant, I can't wait to stay there again!

    Beautiful Venue and Macy was great. The place looked like a fairytale! It is sooo gorgeous as is, it can only get better with beautiful decorations!!

    I just had my wedding at the Mayo this past weekend. This wedding was absolutely the most beautiful wedding I have ever seen. The food was fantastic (we had the filet) and the champagne bar was a huge delicious hit (do this if you have your wedding here, it’s awesome)!

    The Mayo staff was so attentive and professional. They took care of us 100%!

    I do suggest spending a little extra and having a day of coordinator. I did this and they literally took care of everything for me the day of my wedding! They made sure all my place cards were set out in the exact seat I requested, ensured I had the bouquet when it was time to toss, kept us on a time table, they even made sure my dress/sash/hair looked great before opening the curtain for my entrance!

    Everything the Mayo was responsible for the evening of my wedding went perfectly. They did not miss one detail and took care of things I never would have thought of. They also brought all of my gifts to my room and held all of my wedding supplies after the wedding until I was able to come by their offices and pick them up. Nothing went missing, nothing was damaged, they even brought it down to my car and loaded it for me!

    My only suggestion, keep track of the numbers they give you and keep everything in email/writing. The Mayo does so many weddings and events it is impossible for them to keep everything they tell you 100% consistent, especially if you book your wedding far in advance and prices change. If something sounds different from what you had previously been told, they will gladly honor it, you just need to show them the pricing in writing. They did this for me many times and never gave me any trouble about it!

    Seriously ladies, if you are considering the Mayo...go for it! You will have a stunning wedding and a stress free wedding day!

    My now-husband and I are from OK originally but live in Boston now, and it was important for us to find an all-in-one venue with an in-house planning team since we would be planning from afar. The Mayo fit the bill perfectly. We worked with Alison from day one, and even though we only purchased a day-of coordination package, Alison really did much more than that. It was wonderful to have single point person throughout the process. She was always prompt and thorough in her replies to my (many) emails, and was able to accommodate all of our special requests. The Mayo seems willing to do pretty much anything you can imagine, but expect to pay for it—those extras cost extra too, plus everything that went through the hotel (including rentals and vendors booked through the Mayo) tacked on sales taxes and a hefty 22% service fee. It wasn't cheap, but considering prices in the Northeast, we still felt like we got a good deal.

    A few days before the wedding, Alison and I had an epic 2-hour long meeting to go over the schedule and event order in meticulous detail, which I really appreciated. On our wedding day, Alison and her team were totally on top everything, and our ceremony and reception were GORGEOUS. If anything did go wrong, my husband and I didn't hear about it. We had enough on our minds already, so leaving the details in Alison's hands made our wedding day so much more enjoyable. If you are debating whether to hire the Mayo's coordination services, do it!!

    Since many of our guests were coming from out of town and/or hadn't been to OK before, we booked a large block of rooms at the Mayo to show them a great time in high-class accommodations. The guests raved about the rooftop bar and how big their suites were!

    The only thing that went wrong is that my bouquet somehow got lost. The hotel was supposed to deliver it to my room, and it didn't make it there. Staff looked everywhere for it, and it never turned up. Made me sad, but everything else was perfect!

    The Mayo was extremely professional and timely in their responses. They showed us the various rooms available for the rehearsal dinner and then showed us room for our first night. They give a great discount on rooms if you have an event there.

    Had dinner and open bar for my daughters wedding. The food was wonderful, bar well staffed, lots of service personal. It was a good decision, this place knows what they are doing. Very happy.

    The Mayo is an absolutely beautiful venue, we had both our ceremony and reception there and we have heard numerous compliments from our guests. The hotel is definitely one of the more expensive venues in town, but having the option for both the ceremony and reception in one location really helps with planning. The banquet manager is fantastic, not only did the food taste amazing but the presentation of the food and his staff was beyond our expectations. We mostly worked with Caitlin and she was great to work with. We had some mix-ups and stressful situations at times during the planning but Caitlin and the Mayo staff were always willing to help and clear-up any issues. Our guests also raved on the hotel rooms and my bridal suite was massive.

    I loved having my ceremony and reception at the Mayo. Nicole was the rep I was working with and she was so easy to work with. She helped work through different problems or roadblocks we came up against and made sure the whole ceremony was flawless. It was a dream of a wedding and I'm so glad I chose the Mayo.

    The Mayo has gone through a lot of staff changes and I think they've finally got it right. When we started planning over a year ago, things were chaotic and they were not on top of the ball. They had cleaned out a lot of staff since then and now Alyssa and Adrienne are running the show and they are WONDERFUL! The Mayo is a dream to have your wedding in. Its so gorgeous and every bit of history is preserved for you in the gorgeous crystal ballroom. Plus the FOOD... OMG, it is worth it to have a tiny wedding in a conference room if you get Trula to cater!!! In fact, make sure you visit Trula once at least for your best meal ever! It is expensive, of course, but well worth it. And once the staff changes were in place, everything else worked out like clockwork. I would never ever get married anywhere else!

    Caitlyn did amazing for being switched in at the last minute I do wish however that they where more involved wedding day. The vendors showed up way before her which then made me panic because things where not how they should have been but other then that she took care of everything and made it right.
    My flower lady kept saying that they were making my wedding seem like it was the cheap wedding going on but I never got that feeling! I had the wedding of my dreams. My only complaint is that I was told there was some fancy set up going on and this is why I couldn't use the grand hall for my ceremony that was not the case at all as we signed our wedding license and took all pictures in the grand hall there was nothing fancy going on that I couldn't have used that area at all.

    The Mayo Hotel made for a gorgeous reception! The crystal ballroom is classic and unique and has an awesome view of downtown Tulsa. I loved that it was one big open space. We had around 250 guests at our reception and we did not feel crammed at all! It also felt as though everyone was right there and not separated by walls or separate rooms! The room is beautiful on its own and does not need a whole lot of dressing up. Our decorations were fairly simple, yet the reception was still very beautiful! The staff was friendly and very responsive. The night flowed smoothly and we did not have to worry about a thing as they made sure all was taken care of!! On the downside, there seemed to be a lot of hidden fees and restrictions that we were not aware of before that quickly add up! Despite that, it made the perfect wedding venue for us and I would recommend it to anyone wanting a classic formal wedding!

    On July 26th, 2014, my husband and I got married at The Mayo Hotel in downtown Tulsa. It was an evening wedding on a Saturday night, and was an amazing success! The staff at the Mayo took care of everything and were extremely professional. The ceremony and the reception were flawless and we could have not asked for a better event planner than Nicole. The location itself is beautiful, and only gets better with flowers & decorations! The food is also delicious as it is catered by the chef of Trula, the hotel's restaurant. We opted for having a choice between filet and stuffed chicken for our guests, and both got rave reviews.

    Nicole was very responsive and willing to go through each detail of the ceremony & reception, which was impressive considering I hadn't made the decision to have a day of coordinator yet. I do suggest spending a little extra and having Nicole as the day of coordinator. Her and her team literally took care of everything for me the day of my wedding. They made sure my place cards were set out perfectly, that the gifts were delivered to my room, all the added decorations were arranged in the right places and that me and my bridal and I were in the right place at the right time. At the end of the night the staff collected our remaining decorations and personal items to safely store until we could pick them up. If you want a stress free experience, then this is the way to go.

    Overall, my experience with The Mayo was excellent. My only suggestion would be to keep track of your communication with the event staff and to go over each new banquet event order (after comparing it to the last one and any emails/notes you have) with a staff member you trust. Any errors I found they would gladly change, but I kept a close eye on each individual line item.

    If you are considering the Mayo, then I would highly recommend it. You can rest assured that your wedding will be the most spectacular event in Tulsa on that night!
