I helped my niece plan her wedding at The McPherson and this venue is absolutely stunning! From the beamed ceilings, lovely courtyard and bride suite. The McPherson did not disappoint. We received so many compliments from our guests throughout the entire evening. Everything went so smooth and the food was to die for. I personally want to thank Phillip for all his attention to detail on the day of and answering all my questions promptly throughout the planning process! I'm so glad we chose The McPherson!

Abell DJ Company, DJ team has performed for many beautiful couples here and I have to say, it is one of my favorite venues in the St Louis area. I love the layout including the outdoor courtyard that's perfect for ceremonies or cocktails but, most of all the fantastic staff. They are easy to work with ensuring the couples day goes smoothly.
Looking forward to being back soon!

Wow ! I would have never imagined how beautiful this venue is. If you just drive by you have no idea how fabulous the inside and rear courtyard are. The up-lighting and dance floor lights are really nice. They have a great bar inside and a second bar in the rear courtyard. The outside ceremony was just perfect and the indoor reception hall is awesome. I highly recommend this hidden gem for weddings

We had the privilege of attending my niece’s wedding in St Louis and we must say that The McPherson is one of the most extraordinary wedding venues that we have ever seen. My niece had an outdoor ceremony in their huge courtyard that was just gorgeous. And the courtyard was great for the cocktail hour with a separate bar in addition to the main bar. Short lines !. The main reception hall has dramatic tall arched ceiling and really cool mood lighting. The dance floor lighting was also great. Altho I did not get to see it, my wife was able to visit our niece in the bride’s suite and she said it was the best she has ever seen. All in all a beautiful venue that you will always remember. As a plus for us we were able to book a very nice AirBnB that was right next door.

The venue was perfect for our ceremony and reception. Staff were great to work with! The Bridal Suite is a great, comfortable space to get ready in. The chapel is beautiful! The courtyard was perfect for cocktail hour. It is a pretty and large space. Our guests couldn’t stop taking about how pretty and unique the space is!

We stumbled upon the McPherson by random chance and it was such a great discovery! We had to book over a year in advance to get a date we wanted but it was worth the wait! We did both ceremony and reception there and everything worked out perfectly, thanks to Philip! The ceremony was outside on their gorgeous patio that has all its own natural decorations so we didn’t need to do hardly anything since it was beautiful to begin with. The reception was inside with awesome high ceilings and beautiful wood and stained glass windows and so many guests were blow away at its natural beauty. Without even meaning to, it gave off the vibe of being somewhat Harry Potter themed, which is the best compliment in my eyes. Philip has made an amazing venue and worked so hard to make sure everything ran smoothly, even when it looked like it was about to rain! He’s prepared for everything and was easy to communicate with at any time in our planning! We can’t thank him enough and can only hope more people get to experience the greatness that is The McPherson!!

The McPherson is an amazing venue. From it's former chapel-look with the stain glass windows to the incredible outdoor courtyard, it had everything we were looking for. Philip was a great host and easy to work with. Many of our guests commented on how beautiful the space was. I would highly recommend the McPherson to anyone. It's a hidden gem in the Central West End.

The McPherson was the perfect venue for our wedding of roughly 120 guests. Philip was a great host, and very responsive to phone call and text message. He was present for the ceremony and made sure things went smoothly. The venue is absolutely beautiful, and many people commented on how much they liked it. Additionally, it was nice to be able to have the ceremony and reception in the same location. One of my favorite parts of the venue is the bridal suite for the girls to get ready in the day of. We did our hair and make up there, had lunch and drinks, and generally had a great time. Additionally, most of our guests were in from out of town, and the location in the central west end was a great showcase for St. Louis. Russo's in their exclusive caterer, and the food and drink were quite delicious and presented beautifully, as was the room set up. However, in the planning phase for the reception, Kathy from Russo's was a bit difficult to get a hold of. That being said, Russo's did a great job and it was worth it to not have to shop around and find a caterer on my own. Overall, this was the PERFECT venue for our purposes and I would absolutely hire them again. Highly recommended!

The McPherson is amazing! Phillip was so incredibly helpful and accommodating. The venue is beautiful and the food, which is catered by Russo’s, was wonderful. I highly recommend that you order your cake through them too. I had multiple guests tell me that is was the best wedding cake that they have ever had. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone.

We are the great pleasure of having our wedding at the McPherson. It truly was beautiful (inside and out). We are so happy we found the venue. Phillip was responsive to any of our needs and very upfront about the whole process. We got ready at the venue, which DID NOT disappoint. The bridal room was great for all our hair and make-up plus an area we could relax before the big event--It was warm and inviting. The actual wedding ceremony and reception both took place at the McPherson and exceeded our expectations. I could not speak higher of the McPherson and Russo’s. All of our guests commented on the wonderful venue and delicious food. I would recommend the McPherson and Russo’s to any of my family and friends!

The McPherson is incredible. It's one of the most beautiful venues in St Louis. I know because I'm a wedding photographer (Illumen Photography). The beams, lighting, even the chairs were beautiful! The owners were present and asked often if I needed anything from them. Russo's catering was also incredible. They served me early so that I was ready to take pictures as soon as the bride and groom were finished eating. And the food was phenomenal! The eggplant parmesan was my favorite. As a bride looking at this venue, just know you will be well cared for by everyone here. It's a stunning venue! I can't wait to take pictures here in the future!

The McPherson wedding venue was the host of the Central West End Association’s
First Friday Happy Hour. We were amazed at the work that has been done to make this one of the
finest wedding venues in St Louis. The antique crystal chandeliers, sconces, and lighting were stunning. You could tell the original plaster work had been lovingly restored. The private courtyard was massive
and more beautiful than any of us expected. The McPherson will quickly
become one of the most popular wedding venues in this area and a great asset to the CWE
community. If you are looking for an historic venue to host your ceremony and reception, you
need to book a visit to see The McPherson!

As the owner of Signature Bridal, I have had the opportunity to visit most of the wedding venues in the St. Louis area. I have watched for the last year as The McPherson was transformed from a 100 year old chapel into one of the most unique and beautiful wedding venues that I have ever seen. The wedding chapel has a gorgeous antique crystal chandelier and equally impressive crystal wall scones on both sides that will shine down on the bride and groom. After the ceremony there is a state of the art dance floor lighting as well as moon lights that can be programmed for any color imaginable. The cocktail area has a beautiful bar with six draft beers available. The private rear courtyard is huge and can easily accommodate an outside wedding service with the ceremony under a beautiful arbor with a hanging chandelier. There is also an outside bar and restroom. In addition to the leather furnished groom's room there is a large bridal suite with private bath, couches, refreshments and more. The McPherson is a wonderful place for your special day. We had a small wedding compared to what the venue can hold and yet it still felt very intimate. The manager is very flexible to your needs and the place has a built in "rain plan" in case the patio is not usable. The inside is beautiful as well for indoor ceremonies. The bridal area is large and space for make up/hair. The grooms space is small so might be crowded for a large grooms party. Exclusive vendor is Russo's who was great to work with as well!

With constant worries about COVID-19 (and COVID-20) and how it might impact guests from two different states, my fiance and I have had a lot of hesitations about our June 2021 date. Phillip talks to us like a friend and washes away our worries every time we call him. And that's just on the people side. The physical venue is so beautiful; the pictures do NOT do it justice. We went with this spot because it has medieval style with modern features, but the people include so many components into the price. Thanks to the McPherson, I have total peace of mind with my wedding.

We had planned an outdoor wedding, with 30 minutes to spare, the hall was made ready for our ceremony. Great day-of flexibility.

Critical: Professionalism, Responsiveness
So we booked this venue because originally it was picture perfect. The owners and managers were very welcoming. Then once they received our money it went down hill from there. When the corona virus started happening we received no communication about anything what so ever unless we personally reached out to the manager. When I was able to get ahold of the manager he acted annoyed with me and my questions. Which was frustration considering we spend 5,000 to have the venue for 4 hours. We also were not given any money back for having it on a different day (Friday instead of Saturday) due to corona virus restrictions. Which is a pretty significant price difference between the days. If it wasn’t for our caterer who told us without them the venue wouldn’t have opened to capacity limits we wouldn’t have been able to have our reception with all of our guests. The caterer explained that they had to submit a plan to the city because the manager of the venue never did. Then once we had the venue there they kept turning up the AC to 76 degrees. Making me as a bride and all of my guests sweat profusely. When we asked them to turn it down they did so for 20 minutes before turning it back up again. For someone paying $5000 to have their reception there for 4 hours we were not treated respectfully. Called the manager the week after and he never offered an apology to my father and instead just hung up the phone with no apology. I’m only giving this venue two stars for the way it looked on the inside because it was beautiful. But the management and the owners were horrible to
work with. The management also likes to say that it was “pulling teeth” to get money but we paid them in the time frame and payment schedule that was agreed to by management. Not to mention he wants to make a comment about the vomit in the bathroom. Had I known about that I would have had someone clean it up. Sorry that on my wedding day I was not informed about someone getting sick in the bathroom. The comments by management pretty much sum it up people. Beware of putting your money into this venue!!!
