We loved having our wedding at the Tides Inn. The vibe fit us perfectly. Elegant and yet not overly fancy. We loved having our guests be able to stay at the venue where we were having both the wedding and reception. Ally in their event staff was fabulous! She was responsive and very organized. All of the other staff around the hotel made us feel welcome and special the whole weekend. All of the set ups for our evening reception by the beach on Friday, the wedding on the lawn, and the reception room were all perfect and exactly as discussed during planning. We really could not have asked for a more perfect venue and Ally did a great job helping us through all of the planning.The Tides Inn's reply:

User2482215 Sent on 12/27/2015We absolutely loved our wedding weekend at the Tides Inn! Choosing the Tides Inn was easy for us: we wanted to be on the water, we wanted a place where our guests could have a weekend to enjoy themselves, and we loved that the bride's grandparents vacationed here for over twenty years. We had a 3-day event with a welcome dinner on the beach Friday night, our wedding ceremony on the croquet lawn followed by the reception in the Cove Room on Saturday afternoon, and a farewell brunch overlooking the water on Sunday morning. All of the spaces were beautiful, especially the beach and croquet lawn, and we loved staying in the huge Lee Suite where our friends could come visit us. We also had several guests come by boat! Our guests and family members loved the relaxing weekend and beautiful venue, as well as all the activities on site. We loved the relaxed but classy vibe, and we can't wait to come back for our anniversaries, and to bring our children in the future! -

Mary Sent on 03/27/2015Charity was amazing! I was planning my wedding from Washington state and she was so helpful and made planning so easy! The reception site on the golf course was stunning and so were the rooms at the Tides, I really felt like royalty when we were there. So beautiful and everyone was so helpful. -

Jessica Sent on 06/21/2011Enchantment Resort does not advertise that they do weddings but they should. This place is amazing and the views are breathtaking!! The staff, especially Jessica, is very helpful and they do whatever they can to make your day special. Guests raved about the service they received during the wedding and even better they LOVED the food. Most wedding food can be bland but Enchantment does it right. We had a sit down dinner and they managed to cook all 132 meals perfectly and still served them hot! We were so impressed and so thankful we chose Enchantment Resort to host our wedding!! The guests are still talking about the view they had during our ceremony!! :) -

K Sent on 06/02/2012I had my ceremony and reception at Enchantment Resort. It was hot and cold for me the whole time. The views were absolutely breathtaking, everyone said it was the most amazing ceremony they had ever seen and the best food they had ever eaten at a wedding. Enchantment is a 5 star resort and I felt like the rooms and amenities, the spa, and the views were five star. A wonderful touch was the chocolate covered strawberries and champagne I had waiting in my room when I returned from getting my hair and make up done, WOW, that was amazing. However they were very difficult to work with. It would take months for my catering coordinator to answer an email. I mean I would email her and finally 3 months later she would respond. No one called until the day of my wedding to let me know what would happen that day- I had a Sunday wedding and arrived on a Friday. My family had to pick up my (silk) rose petals after the ceremony- the resort wouldn't do it. Nor would they allow real rose petals. My brother had to move flower arrangements. A friend of mine toted all of my decorations and things back to my room after the reception because the resort wouldn't bring that stuff back to my room. Sounds petty I'm sure but the last thing you want to do as a bride right after your reception is load up a golf cart to bring stuff back to your room, or make a guest do it. They were also just generally inflexible and inconsistent. One person would say we couldn't change the wine, another person it was no problem. One person would say I could alter the buffet offered, another person would say absolutely not (there was shrimp cocktail on the buffet and my father has an anaphylactic reaction to shrimp). I was also told originally I could alter the buffet to fit it in my budget with my original catering coordinator, the one who took over for her wouldnt allow it, we had to negotiate changes and get managers involved. There was another reception the day of my wedding right next door that was much larger. So maybe the trick to getting these people to care about your wedding is to have a large wedding at Enchantment. I'm not the type of bride that even needs a lot of attention, I would say I was pretty easily pleased throughout the whole process of getting married. I'm lucky to have been surrounded by such helpful and flexible friends and family, which made the day flawless and perfect for me. Because of my friends and family I enjoyed every moment of my wedding. Not as much because of Enchantment.
