Thurston Southern recently catered my wedding reception and, to put it simply, they bring food to an entirely new level. The food was not only delicious but also beautiful and sophisticated! We eat with our eyes, too, and everyone was blown away by the flavor of the food and the presentation (And speaking of flavor, Haley is the flavor queen! What talent!)
All of my guests - from young kids to grandparents to everyone in between - simply raved about the food. We even had reports of picky 12 year olds going back for seconds and thirds. ;) And all my guests who weren't familiar with shrimp-n-grits walked away converts for life!
Thank you to the entire team at Thurston Southern for making my reception so memorable for us and for our guests!! -

Best catering experience in Charleston (and that's saying something)
I've used Thurston for years for both personal and corporate catering and am consistently happy with the insanely yummy food, their menu creativity, staff professionalism, and overall flexibility in accommodating us. They truly provide an experience. Can't recommend them enough.Thurston Southern Catering's reply:

The focus of our entire wedding planning was predicated on giving our guests a taste of Charleston/Lowcountry cuisine that made us want to get married in Charleston in the first place. From the get go, Heather & Andrea were so willing to go above and beyond, both by being totally open to our many changes/ideas, and coming up with suggestions to make sure our guests got the best overall experience. We had a fairly large wedding 120+ people, and I have to say that every person we spoke to at the wedding and after the fact could not have raved more about the service and the quality of the food. They were always willing to work with us to keep costs down and keep below our budget, and were nothing but excited to help through out the entire process. One of my favorite memories of wedding planning was our tasting, (beforehand Andrea & Heather even joined us on a venue tour), but they were so giddy to have us try their food and our menu which we had completely toiled over (too many good options!). I'm so thankful for having found them, and I think we succeeded in showing our guests a great time and filling their bellies with some of the best lowcountry flavor around.
This beer-loving couple couldn't have been happier to have used Thurston’s Flute bar service as well. They went above and beyond to help us offer a special beer draft bar with kegs from local breweries, and I think the most excited I was during the whole planning process was seeing the draft options she was able to come up with. Local beer was a flowin' and we loved every drop of it ;) I also have to say that the bar service itself that night was exceptional. Every single server and bartender were not only so polite and attentive, but FUN! Our guests were constantly remarking on how much they enjoyed everyone that worked the event, and made them feel right at home. They were also very cognizant of our budget and helped us tailor things to meet what we wanted AND what we could afford. Very thankful to have found them!
