Never have I been as compelled to write a review as I have for this venue and their staff. From the day we first spoke with the Twickenham team, they provided an absolutely world class experience. Leigh was an absolute rock star, helping my wife and I through every step of the wedding planning process. The venue is even more beautiful than you could imagine, and the 3 night stay was incredibly comfortable and memorable for all of our guests. There was no pressure to use preferred vendors (other than catering but this is clearly disclosed up front), however, they were happy to provide recommendations, all of which turned out to be phenomenal. Their partner restaurant delivered a delicious meal, and were very attentive to all of our guests at the bar. Leigh and her team ensured that the entire weekend was as perfect and stress free as we could have possibly hoped for. We truly could not be happier with our choice and would recommend this venue and team to anyone.

We recently had our daughter's wedding at Twickenham and everything was beyond our expectations. The beauty of Twickenham & surrounding property was breathtaking! Our wedding planner, Bethany was the absolute best planner I could ever hope for. The staff was wonderful to work with and the catering by Morchella Provisions was outstanding. Twickenham is a beautiful & romantic wedding venue.

The staff at Twickenham were easy to work with and helped our event run smoothly. The hall is the perfect space for a dance party, too!

We had the chance to tour Twickenham with Bethany and she was great at helping us visualize the space and how everything would flow on our wedding day!

I'll start by saying that we did decide on a different venue based on a couple of factors personal to us and our family/friends. The view of the mountains and the stone detail for the ceremony made that a very difficult decision!

The grounds have a large brick house and a smaller house for guests to stay on the property. They are decorated by the owner who has an eye for gorgeous English antique pieces that are really unique and would be great photo moments for you and your guests. Some of the rooms have many beds for family or bridal party who all know each other well and some rooms are more private for couples, parents, etc.

The drive up to the house seems a bit long on paper but when I tell you it is BEAUTIFUL. I mean, the drive alone is a whole experience.

I think this is a great wedding destination for a warm and inviting wedding where you get to have your family and friends around you the whole time and have your ceremony, reception, and rehearsal dinners all within walking distance

I can't say enough good things about the entire experience. From the planning through the event, everybody was so professional and helpful.

The wedding had to be smaller because of Covid, but it was still great. I got to spend more time with everyone.

I thought I wrote my review after the wedding 2 years ago. Bethany was an amazing help from start to finish. I was planning my wedding all the way from San Antonio,Texas. She was very patient and very helpful days leading up to the wedding and the day of. Beautiful scenery at the Twickenham house. However the ride up is a to the venue/house is bit rocky. But you’re on a mountain I wouldn’t expect anything less.

After our engagement, we toured several venues but NONE compared to Twickenham. As soon as I saw the cliffside, I knew I had to get married there. The venue was stunning and our wedding planner, Bethany, went above and beyond at every point of the journey. Our entire wedding party stayed on the estate for the weekend and LOVED their experience. I cannot recommend this venue highly enough. I wish I could go back and relive the weekend again and again!

Leigh Harrow and her assistant, Wendy, did a superb job helping us plan, decorate, and coordinate everything for our daughter's cliffside wedding and dinner reception. Leigh & Wendy went above and beyond to bring to pass our daughter's dream for her wedding! We are very grateful to them and all that they did!

Twickenham is a awesome location for couples who love rustic and elegant settings with beautiful views of the mountains and the forests. We were fortunate enough to rent out the entire property for a couple of days to enjoy the wonderful scenery with our families. Everyone had a great time!

Twickenham was everything we could have ever asked for, and more! We truly had a wedding nothing short of magical. The view from the cliff is something you have to see to believe! The reception hall is simply breathtaking, and the Twickenham house itself made for the best time ever with all of our friends. Having a wedding during COVID is stressful enough, yet the owner Jocelyn and her wedding coordinator Bethany made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. We could not have asked for a better coordinator than Bethany! She answered all of our questions and made sure our wedding day was truly a dream come true! Everything turned out even more amazing than we could have ever hoped for. When you see this place in person you will know there is nothing else that could compare. Then when it's all done up the way you dreamed it to be on your big day, it will be something you will never forget! Thank you Jocelyn, Bethany and Twickenham for the best day of our lives!

Twickenham is definitely best of class. The venue was perfect. The views from the terrace on the cliffs are a perfect spot for a wedding.

The Twickenham house is a spectacular lodge with exquisite decorating. They need a new category because the home is 10 star!!

My family and I cannot say enough great things about Twickenham House and its staff! We booked the house sight unseen for our January wedding, but this was no issue whatsoever as the coordinating team was available to answer all of our questions very, very promptly. Our families stayed on the property for 4 nights, and have nothing but great things to say about their time there. The housekeeping staff were friendly and so helpful to have available!

We worked directly with Bethany to plan our big day, and she was a dream coordinator! She was readily available and texted or called me back same-day. She helped us tackle any issues that arose throughout the process, and put our minds at ease long before we ever got to the house! She offered great ideas and suggestions for both the ceremony and reception. She was very flexible and accommodating, and went above and beyond in every way!

On the day of our wedding, we had to change from an outdoor to an indoor ceremony location due to weather, but it could not have been a more flawless transition. In fact, Bethany and her team did such an amazing job making the switch last-minute that multiple guests told us they had no idea it wasn't supposed to be indoors from the beginning! I had no stress the day of the wedding, despite all of the changes happening, because I knew that the team had everything under control. After the ceremony, they flipped the site for the reception and, again, it could not have gone more smoothly. Leigh, who is another member of the coordinating team, was equally as essential to making our day happen even BETTER than we had hoped or planned. It takes a truly talented and professional team to make a couple's "backup plan" work so well.

Bethany was a delight to work with, from start to finish. I cannot recommend her or Twickenham enough. We had high expectations for our wedding weekend, and they were not only met, but exceeded.

Twickenham is the type of place you dream of having your wedding. They have an amazing team, the hall is top notch for a reception, the cliff (which is now another spot you can hold your ceremony instead of the lawn) is one of the most amazing views in this area, and you have no shortage of photo opportunities both inside and outside of the estate. They also have wedding planners with various packages that work for the property, if you want to hire someone that truly knows the venue and has great recommendations for all your other vendors - she helped me pick my florist, bakery, catering and transportation. You could spend your whole weekend just on the property and not run out of things to do. My whole wedding party, their spouses and kids stayed with us at Twickenham, which made the weekend that much more meaningful. It was kid-friendly, with a small wave pool, movie theater and a play room down in the basement. The guys went out exploring. The girls had coffee on the patio and made signs for the reception. When it started pouring, the Twickenham team had a rain plan already in place and got all my vendors on the same page. As a normally anxious person, they made everything so easy that I felt like I could actually just relax and let them handle anything that came up that weekend - they're that good. I would recommend this location and their team to anyone that wants a picturesque wedding in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Having our son's wedding at Twickenham was a dream come true. The experience seemed straight out of a fairy tale. Jocelyn and her entire staff made sure every detail was attended to. It was a mountaintop experience in every way!

We stayed at the Twickenham House during the week of 12/16/17 for a renewal of vows ceremony. It was an absolutely unparalleled experience. Very secluded high in the mountains with absolutely breathtaking scenic overlook and views. All buildings at the estate we're ornately decorated in Christmas fashion. I honestly felt like I was staying at a high-end Ski Resort, except the experience was much more intimate and personal. This was definitely the best wedding-type experience I've ever been a part of!

Beautiful estate... great buildings and pretty grounds. Was there for a wedding two weeks ago and it is a great place. The entire lower level is a movie theatre, gym and giant playroom for kids! And the rest of the house will make you feel like you’re living a life few ever experience. Rooms are spacious and comfortable and everything is well decorated!

I was at Twickenham for one of my best friend's vow renewal ceremony. Jocelyn was so easy to work with and accommodating! The estate was stunning and flawless...it was everything we could have hoped for. The staff helped with so many details and were gracious throughout. It was a dream wedding venue - I'd get married there myself if I wasn't already taken ;-)

Twickenham was the perfect winter getaway and venue for our vow renewal. Family from five states came to spend Christmas weekend with us in this dream-like winter woodland, and the estate was large enough to also have our vow renewal. We're seriously considering going back second weekend of December every year. Twickenham is the perfect cross between a mountain chalet and the southern comfort of a North Carolina Bed & Breakfast. Lots more expensive venues are available, but we'd not choose them over Twickenham even if they were cheap. This estate is the Christmas weekend locale every family should experience once in their lifetime.

It's only been six days since our vow renewal, but I still feel like I'm walking on air. Our three days at Twickenham was something out of a dream. I still have to remind myself that it really happened, and I'm not the only one that felt that way. Each of the couples among our guests who stayed with us remarked about how extraordinary the experience was, like something from the Great Gatsby. I planned, anticipated and built up the weekend for months and months ahead of time, but it still did not disappoint. The photos just don't do it justice of just how beautiful every detail is, how the owners have planned and prepped for every aspect of your wedding and stay that even you didn't think of, of all the many stunning spaces and sights that surround you and how special it makes you, your guests and family feel. The estate isn't just a wedding venue. It's an experience that includes the relaxation of a spa, the comforts of home, the beauty of being in a vintage Victorian setting and the luxury of being surrounded with only the best that was carefully selected with you in mind. I'm confident that even the most attentive celebrity assistants and high-end wedding coordinators have not put as much thought and energy into each aspect of your stay and wedding day as Jocelyn has. The set up assistants she provides in the run up and day of seemed to just know my every thought and planned for even what I didn't. They're not intrusive, but they seem to just appear whenever you need them and bring a calming presence to even the most hectic moments. There's always something that comes up, but at Twickenham, you can rest assured that they will take care of it no matter what. If you're considering a venue, trust me when I say, Twickenham House and Hall is the perfect place to bring your dream to life at an affordable price that will blow you away for all you get. I just couldn't imagine having gone anywhere else. Our vow renewal was so amazing, it far surpassed even our wedding.
