    The Arthur's Ceremony

    This place is everything! The view was great, the staff was helpful and professional, and the venue was accommodating! Thanks Bayside Event Center for making my Bestie's special day a time to remember!

    Every detail, even those I didn’t think of

    You can not buy the view at Bayside on Offatt’s Bayou Bay in Galveston, Texas. The owners went above and beyond to ensure a care-free day. They texted special photos not captured by our photographer, it was very nice to have those on our honeymoon. Our guest enjoyed the smiles and attention from the staff. Wish we had gone with the inclusive package because in the end, we spent more than the upgraded Diamond they offered. Highly recommend.

    Waterfront Event Center

    They made my special day as special as it could be!! They did everything I invisioned and more! Lauren and Scott are the sweetest people and communicate very well!! Definitely recommend for your special day!!

    Words can't even describe how thankful we are for both Lauren and Scott with Waterfront Event Center. They did everything right and made our special day one we will never forget. From the beginning, Lauren was easily accessible to answer questions, provide vendor listings to help with planning and make recommendations to ensure our wedding and reception went off without a hitch. We're so thankful for their help all the way through to our reception send-off (Scott even saved the day by providing us with a beautiful backdrop for our photo booth on the day of). Not only is the venue a stunning location for a wedding with its beautiful views of the bay and Moody Gardens, but the management really cares about each bride/groom. They make planning an event of a lifetime easy, and that's not an easy task to accomplish. The level of care was certainly felt! I'd recommend Waterfront Event Center for anyone looking for a personalized small- to medium-sized wedding (up to 125 guests). Wouldn't have changed a single thing!

    We used the Waterfront Event Center on June 7th for our wedding reception. Our wedding and reception was spectacular down to every Last Detail. The versatility of having an indoor area as well as an outdoor open AND covered area made our evening memorable and Majestic. I highly recommend the event center for wedding receptions.

    The Waterfront Event Center made my daughters wedding her dream come true. They listen to what you want and help you to find the vendors that will suit you. They helped me so much to pull this wedding together. I couldn't have done it without them. The service continues until the last guest leaves. Through the service and reception they checked on us and made sure we were ok. I can't say enough kind words about Lauren and her dedication to making us comfortable and making sure we had nothing to worry about but enjoying ourselves. Then there is the venue itself. It is gorgeous. We had the service on the deck as the sun was setting. It was beautiful. Then we moved inside to the beautiful ballroom for dinner and dancing. There was a spacious brides room for us and a just as spacious grooms room. There was plenty of room for everyone to move around. We had the inside plus the two decks for people to move around. If you want a dream wedding with people who truly care about what you want come see Scott and Lauren. This is more than a business to them. They want your dreams to come true.

    This event center helped make my ceremony perfect. The lady in charge made sure I had everything I needed and on the day of the wedding she was there to help me any way she could. I have seen a couple bad reviews about this place and they have complained about the size of the venue. Let me just tell you now, if you want a large wedding don't go here. We had between 60-70 guests and it was perfect. Another complaint is that they couldn't cook in the kitchen and when they tried fuses kept blowing. Well, in the contract and when you talk to them they will tell you it is NOT a working kitchen. It's common sense.

    Lauren and Scott are a great team! They were wonderful leading up to our big day and they really amazing on our wedding day. They were very flexible and worked to make sure all our special wishes were met. The venue was impeccable; I couldn't imagine a more beautiful place for our wedding. I loved that they allowed us to come back to the venue and lay out our designs to see how it would work together in the space. The separate spaces for each party to get ready was awesome! Overall we couldn't have chosen a better place!

    We had a beautiful reception there with a beautiful sunset

    We had a beautiful wedding there. We love the place. We really enjoy the venue with two decks. We used them all and enjoyed them so much. Working with Lauren and Scott was great. They helped us a lot. We recommend the venue.

    things happen but in all they worked with us to make it affordable and pretty. it was a wonderful day and the cake and food was amazing.

    The venue was nice and the food was delicious. The guests loved the meatloaf. The manager was not always the easiest to work with. She tried to overcharge on food and argued with me when I asked her about it. She didn't like to listen to my ideas for table set up or band set up- her answer to everything was that she had been doing weddings for the past 20 years and her normal set up was the only way she wanted it set up. When we went to set up, she wouldn't come out of her office to help, but she also told me we weren't allowed to move the tables ourselves. We were able to compromise on a set up once she was willing to listen to me instead of talking over me. As someone who works in customer care, I feel she could have been more helpful and less argumentative throughout the process. Overall, the day of the wedding went well and the food turned out delicious. The pricing of the venue and food is good and definitely worth what you pay for.
