Being a pandemic bride was stressful, but the Marriott bent over backwards to make the process as easy and painless as possible. The food was amazing and the portions were large. The decor was top notch and I was thankful that they had so much on hand that I didn’t have to buy decorations that I wouldn’t ever use again.

The West Des Moines Marriott was not only the most reasonable priced venue we found in the area but also gave us the most bang for our buck! They did all of the set up and tear down and weren’t super restrictive of what you could bring in. Rebecca was so responsive and helpful in the whole wedding process. A ton of our guests had commented on the great food and great service!!! We were able to utilize their complimentary space for breakfast the morning after and it was perfect! We also got a free night in a honeymoon suite that I was able to book for the night before to get ready in the day of. Would 100% recommend this place to any bride or groom!

Rebecca was absolutely the best!!! She went above and beyond to make our day special. To every detail, decoration, food and set up of our reception in general it was phenomenal. The food was used thru the Marriott as well and it was fantastic. All and all Rebecca made it so easy and all we did that day was enjoy!!!! No tearing down or cleaning up and everything was ready for the next morning!!! Thanks for it all, it was perfect!!

Having my reception at the Marriott WDM was the best decision I made for our wedding night. Rebecca is an amazing coordinator and the staff was very friendly. They take care of everything with/for you and make your experience seamless.

Rebecca was so great to work with and made it obvious she was there to make our dreams a reality. It was great to be able to rely on the hotel for so many of the details but also be able to add our own touches. It was nice not to have to worry about setting up our decorations the day before/of the wedding since the hotel set them up for us. We would highly recommend the West Des Marriott for a wedding or any event.

We decided the West Des Moines Marriott for our reception location mostly due to the fact that they'd set up all of our table decor as part of the included package. And as the wedding date got closer, that became more and more important and definitely worth it.

But even more, Rebecca was so great to work with—she gave us recommendations based on how most people do things, but she was also open to any ideas we had.

The food was excellent, and we had lots of good reviews.

I can't overstate how great it was to have all our guests stay at that same location. And it was so nice for us to just go up after the wedding into a nice suite for some rest.

We could have used a room in the hotel for a breakfast the next morning, but we had brunch plans somewhere else. The hotel did lock up all our gifts in that room so we could just deal with them the next morning, which was really nice for us to not have to think about it that night.

Would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a convenient but elegant wedding.

We chose the Marriott West Des Moines and could not be more pleased with everything. We worked with Rebecca Hemsath and she was fabulous! She helped us every step of the way, answering questions and giving us pointers when needed. She was absolutely delightful to work with for the wedding reception planning. We could not have asked for anyone better! The ballroom was simply beautiful! The meal was delicious and everyone commented in how good it was - and plentiful. The entire staff did an outstanding job and were very attentive and accommodating. They did all the work setting up and cleaning up afterwards. It left us with little or nothing to worry about as they did whatever we requested of them. They helped to make it a day we will always remember with great pride. I would highly recommend the West Des Moines Marriott for anyone planning a wedding.

The Staff at the WDM Marriott exceeded all our expectations. From our first tour, planning an menu, and then the setup was great. Rebecca is a true event professional and has just the right touch. The service at our wedding, flawless. Renee ran the banquet room and served a sit down dinner for 300 easily it seemed. Our guests every request was met with a smile and yes. The value was also nice, we looked at several different venues and given the quality of food and bar service which was perfect, and the cost this was a great value. The ballroom lighting is pretty enough that we didn't need draping on the ceiling, just table décor and we used the hotel chair cover which is a good value also. I would recommend to anyone.

It was great not having to worry about anything. Rebecca and her team did a fantastic job setting up our reception, adding more rooms to our room block when needed, working through the technical difficulties we ran into with the website, and making our day as stress free as possible. If you want to have a beautiful reception at little to no work on you, I would recommend booking with the Marriot West Des Moines. Hats off to the chef, the food was wonderful as well!

We picked the Marriott because we had a lot of out of town guests and their pricing and availability fit with our wedding plan. They were so easy to work with, incredibly responsive and walked through each step with us. They handled everything - set up, clean up, moving the gifts, etc. The staff on site in addition to the event coordinators made the entire event go smoothly and we still have guests telling us what an amazing time it was!

The event went very smoothly. All details were taken care; all we had to do was enjoy the wedding.

I had a great experience at the West Des Moines Marriott for my wedding reception. They were experts, always wiling to answer questions, and were constantly available. My mom and I live in different states and they were very flexible on meeting with us both separately and together. They did everything they said they would do for us on our big day. The food was served fast and warm. They even went above and beyond to find the specific German beer I wanted imported and served at the reception. They had a whole team searching for it for us and finally found it! I was so impressed! They made decorating and cleanup a snap too.

Amazing. Rebecca and Kelsey (who we bagan work with) were responsive and enthusiastic about our wedding. They seemed to truly care about all the listless things and went above and beyond to make sure everything was just how we wanted. I would DEFINITELY use Marriott services again thanks to those two girls!

Rebecca Hemesath was amazing, she listened to what we wanted and made the reception look fabulous. Once Rebecca left for the night, Renee then worked with us and was just as wonderful. and patient with us. Thank you Marriott Staff for such a memorable night.
Also, thank you to the Chef, we had so many great comments how delicious the food was and how wonderful to have options for all the dietary needs.

I worked with Janelle as a coordinator at the Marriott. From the beginning she was very accommodating & easy to work with. The food tasted AMAZING! It is a little bit pricey, but what isn't when you're planning a wedding? The service by all staff throughout the entire evening was great! Our hotel rooms were as extremely comfortable, clean & functional. All of my guests had wonderful things to say about both the venue & the staff. I definitely recommend working with the WDM Marriott & Janelle!

I would rate this place above average. Janelle was very helpful and everything seemed to go as planned. We would definitely go back in a heartbeat

The day of staff were very professional and everything went well. We had a great deal of trouble getting questions answered at the beginning of the planning process. Luckily thing came together at the end and overall we were satisfied with the service.
