We were so happy we chose Wind Dancer Retreat as our wedding venue! The facility is absolutely GORGEOUS. Shana, the wedding coordinator, walked us through each step of the planning and preparation. She made many wonderful suggestions and did a fabulous job orchestrating the entire event. The wedding went off without a hitch. This was the perfect place for our wedding.

My daughter chose Wind Dancer Retreat for her wedding on May 19 and we were BLOWN AWAY by the entire experience! Gorgeous venue, excellent service and support throughout from the initial planning stage to the day after the wedding! Our guests were likewise blown away! I recommend them a thousand percent!!

We could not have picked a more perfect venue. My husband and I wanted an outdoor ceremony, lots of room to dance in an indoor/outdoor reception, and a comfortable Texas feel - we found it all at Wind Dancer Retreat. Lisa is their planner and day-of coordinator, and she was such a pleasure to work with. She was very professional and extremely responsive to my endless stream of questions (and my mom’s). We also loved being able to use the venue the day before for a small additional rental price; we had our rehearsal dinner catered there, and the groomsmen enjoyed hanging out around the fire pit late that night. All of the facilities and staff were great, and the owner (also the cook if you have them cater) was super friendly. Oh yes, and the food was excellent. We recommend the Chicken Piccata.

Lisa Radke and the staff at Wind Dancer Retreat LITERALLY bent over backwards to accommodate every single need for our daughter's wedding! The venue is beautiful! They even built a new gazebo and promised to have it finished and landscaped in time for her wedding - and it was! There are separate little houses for the bridesmaids and groomsmen to get ready and hang out. No matter what our need - they found a way to take care of us. Even when the cake had a minor disaster (NOT something they did, a different vendor supplied the cake), they immediately asked how they could fix it and what they could do to make it right.
We did our catering through them, and the food was phenomenal and plentiful (there were left-overs with buffet service - and people were allowed to go back for seconds!) Our guests raved about the food!
But it was the staff that makes Wind Dancer Retreat stand out above the rest. I do events for various charities and groups here in our town and have been in charge of many banquets over the years. I have NEVER worked with a group of people more eager to do their job and more dedicated to the total "perfect" experience of their guests than Lisa, Michael, Rayne and the staff at Wind Dancer. Trust me, venues can look great, have wonderful food and beautiful surroundings, but dealing with folks who just want to pick up their pay check and go home can totally ruin your event. I was there for over 12 hours on the day-of, and I NEVER saw a staff member that didn't have a smile on their face or who didn't ask how they could help me or if things were going okay.
Our daughter lives in Hawaii - so she didn't get to see the venue in person until the day of her event. So for her, trying to visualize what it all was going to look like was hard. With one phone call, Lisa had me come out and set up all of the tables as they would be inside the reception hall so that I could send pictures and video to my daughter to calm her nerves.
