Bora Bora or Costa Rica?

I haven't been to either place but we looked into both when deciding on our honeymoon. What seemed to be the big difference is Costa Rica is more for the outdoor adventure minded type people and Bora Bora is more about relaxing. We found that to do Cost Rica the way it would have been worth it to us it would have taken at least 2 weeks and a whole lotta dough! Bora Bora has those amazing huts over the water that are more for relaxing in one spot but it's a hefty price tag too! I suggest meeting with a travel agent who can give you full details on activities and prices for both places. Keep an open mind for a new suggestion from the agent as well! Give them the run down of what you're looking for in a honeymoon and they'll tell you the cheapest, but best suited place for your needs!

My best friends boyfriend was in Bora Bora and showed us THE most amazing pictures. As Laura stated, Bora Bora is for relaxing. Especially on those 'stick-huts', and those beaches...*dream*.

But be prepared to pay up. It cost him 8000 $ for 2 weeks, per person!

Bora Bora is amazing.. but if you want to do a overwater bungalow, which they are known for, it will cost you. The nice ones i could find were about $1,000 per night and the flights to tahiti are much more expensive then the ones to costa rica. so if money doesnt matter i would definitely chose bora bora, but i would really look into the price before you get your heart set on anything.
