Bridesmaids proposal!

Katherine, on June 16, 2019 at 11:49 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 13
HELP! Looking for cool ways to ask my girls to be bridesmaids! Most of them live far so it would have to be mailed. I know most people do mugs, robes, or shirts. What other ideas do you guys have?!

I did ornaments, I thought it would be a nice thing they could take out once a year and remember celebrating with us. I got them in the color of the bridesmaid dresses & it said their name in big cursive letters and “maid of honor” or “bridesmaid” under it in a smaller size. They all loved them, granted this only works if everyone celebrates Christmas.

I also needed something that could be mailed, so I made them each a card and purchased personalized cookies. We’re having a beach wedding so I stuck with that theme, but I’ve seen lots of cute bridesmaid cookies on Pinterest.

I made each of them a box with a few things included; a beautiful picture frame, a small candle and some nail polish along with a card asking them to be in the bridal party. I wasn’t trying to break the bank with these!

I'm in the same boat! I plan to make a short video to each of them and text it the day I know their package will arrive since I can't ask in person. I have gift boxes that have a little tag I made on the outside that says "Now it's my turn to pop the question!" Inside I have a diamond-topped wine stopper, a Total Wine gift card, a bracelet, and a luggage tag (since they all will travel for the wedding) that match the color theme. All of the items were pretty cheap, the most expensive were the gift cards that I thought of last minute since I got the stoppers.

I did little gift boxes with robes and tumblers but there was a puzzle inside and when they put it together it said “Will you be my bridesmaid”

I did a self care “pampering kit”. Burt’s Bees chapsticks, bath bombs, koozies (personalized), a mini bottle of tenor favorite liquor, facial masks... that kind of thing. And each got a personalized letter.

I mailed my girls a jewelry box with a liquor shooter, nail polish & hair bands that said "to have and to hold your hair back".

My MOH knew she would be my MOH from the start. However, for her birthday I got her a stemless wine glass stat says "B***h, please. You're obviously going to be my Maid of Honor," with a heart! Also, etsy is definitely the best friend here. I got her a mug where you can change the hair of the two ladies, add a name and select the front of the mug. For example hers says "I can't say I do without you." For my bridesmaid proposal I got the same mug, different hair and it says her name along with "Will you be my bridesmaid?" My MOH loved the presents and I hope my bridesmaid will also! They're super cute. Plus, they each are getting hair ties that say "Team Bride."

All of my girls are local, so I made them all boxes: mugs, fuzzy socks, and lots of snacks. My brother's fiancée has only asked her sister to be MOH so far, but she lives a few hours away. She ordered a dozen donuts from her favorite shop to be delivered at work and had them ice "MOH?" on the donuts. Her sister loved them!

When asking my bridal party I went to Michael's and got these super cute shadow boxes that were on sale and put something unique for each family or friend with a note asking them to be a MOH or Bridesmaid. They all love them

I got a little box for my MOH a card and a box with a mug, hair ties and some candy. My bridesmaid got a card. They both knew they were my bridal party before I even got officially engaged so it was more of a formality.

I want to get us all robes as well for the day of, and I’ll probably put together another little gift for them then.
