Essential or Extra - Ceremony Programs

Extra. I'm not going to do them. I only look at them if it's a really long ceremony and I'm trying to see how much is left.

Extra- but FH wants them so... needless to say that is on HIS to-do list

Extra! A waste of money and they end up in the trash.

Not really needed unless it is a super long ceremony (ours is shorter) or you are doing something people may not be familiar with (which the only reason we are having them)

Extra!! Unless you’re having a non traditional or very long religious ceremony that others may not be familiar with or there is some need to explain.

Extra. Our ceremony will only be 15 minutes. No need for a program.

Extra, pricy for something that is only looked at for a few minutes. Unless you are having a type of religious or cultural ceremony that not many people are familiar with (ex: a Hindu person marrying a non-Hindu in a full Hindu ceremony) that some guests won't understand and will need explained.

Extra- but we decided to do programs anyways just for a keepsake for us and any family members who want to keep them. We didn't spend too much on them so I think it'll be worth it.

Extra. While I have saved programs from past weddings I have been to. Most just leave them at the ceremony venue or end up trashing them before the night is over. Why waste so much time, money, and paper on something so underappreciated. We'll more than ly provide a digital copy for those that are really intested in seeing how the night is laid out.

Extra. We will probably just be doing a sign at the entrance of the chapel! To us it's just a waste of money considering no one really looks at them and they just get thrown out anyway.

I think for a small wedding this is an extra but could be essential for a large wedding. I won’t be doing them.

Extra. The programs are in use for, what, 20 minutes? Then they're just set aside. So much of that info can be put on a wedding website, anyways. I like sharing the thank you note and hashtag, but that can be done with a sign at the venue that has more impact.
