How are you guys handing guest that include additional people past the amount of seats you have reserved for them?

I only had one person try to do that and I think it’s rude. I contacted them and told them we were having a small wedding and didn’t have additional space, especially since they weren’t family.

I just simply tell them that I have only paid for a certain amount of seats and unfortunately there's no open seats available at the time for extras. It's reallu annoying but people just dont understand that its not a bbq 😂😂

We had one guest do this. They received a phone call and was told that the extra guest is not invited.

We had another guests ask for a 2nd plus one and he was told no.

    That's that.

Smh people are too much! Haha. I haven’t sent out invitations yet but I’m terrified of this happening. We are specifying how many seats they will be given on the invites I’m imagining that if they add people we will also call them and let them know that they only have X amount of seats so that additional guest(s) can’t come.

I’m actually so afraid of this happening. I’m trying to combat this by putting the number of seats reserved on the RSVP cards. I would contact them and say sorry for the misunderstanding, but the invited was for you and so and so. It is non transferable and we just do not have the room.

"Hey! I'm so sorry for the confusion, but our budget only allows for a certain number of guests so we didn't include a plus one for you. I hope you can attend with just you, I'm sorry we can't accommodate more. Thanks!" I'm assuming it isn't a significant other they added, just a random plus one?

I did the number of reserved seats on the RSVP and people just completely ignored it so now i have to spend the next several days contacting people individually
