Heels

Ashley, on August 21, 2019 at 4:25 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 27
I’m am 4’9” and I feel that I need a very high heel. These are the heels I’m thinking of purchasing, I wear heels very often but not sure if I could go through the whole night with these on. I just want to look amazing the whole night.

These are really cute. Im 4’11” but I’m just going to be short. My ceremony heels are 3 inches and then I’m switching to sparkly sneakers. I don’t want to be miserable all night and not enjoy my reception. Everyone already knows I’m short lol

Those ones are pretty, but they don't provide much support. I think it'll be totally fine to switch shoes for your reception!

Think really hard about this because your shoes affect your hem. If you swap your tall heels for flats for the reception you could trip on your skirt. Maybe try to find the most comfortable tall heels on earth? Or since no one can see under your dress you could swap for some ultra comfy platform sneakers. It sounds weird but it’s better than getting hurt on the dance floor!

I love them! I would say that if you can afford to buy them and try them out, I would. Maybe wear them on a date night and do a fair amount of walking (only if you’re okay with not returning them and then having to buy another pair). I would suggest not getting them if you plan to only wear them for the ceremony because then you’re dress would be dragging all throughout the night because it’s a big height different with the heel! Hope I could kinda help!

That’s a huge concern is my hem. I want the height but not sure I would be willing to wear them all night. I have a lot of thinking to do.

You know I did think of that. I could use this shoe another time even if it wasn’t on my wedding day, but order them just in case if I did decide to go with these.

I'm only wearing heels for the ceremony and changing into some glitter Keds for the reception. I know I won't make it or be comfortable wearing heels all day! lol

Since I will be on a beach I'm opting for no heels and if I need shoes to get back and forth between areas, I will have these.
I'm no expert, but if you aren't sure you can do the whole night, get a backup shoe of something that you will be able to wear!

Lol I am 5'10 and looking for something that has a smaller heal but I do wear heals to work just like these! As they are very beautiful they do not have much support.. I would say buy them and wear them on a date night or look for a heal with a platform as those will give you more support! Good luck!!

I'm 4'11 and my fh is 6'2 so I'm also buying a taller heel to reach his face lol but I know I won't be able to keep them on all night so I am going to buy some flat shoes and bedazzle them so they are just as fabulous as my regular shoes.

You could try looking for something with a bit of a platform so even though you’ll still get the height, you won’t have that high of a heel all night. I would worry about switching to something flat or otherwise a significantly shorter height because you’ll end up tripping on your dress.

You could always wear the heels for the ceremony and switch to some flats for the reception? If you are worried about the hem line maybe find some comfortable platform heels to change into later on in the night? They still give you the height, but tend to be more supportive and comfortable! I am 4'9 as well and my Fh is 6ft tall, I am only wearing 3inch heels. Anything higher i think i would be uncomfortable in since i haven't worn high heels since my kids were born

I have tons of Sam Edelman heels for work and although they're great for a few hours, after awhile they do start to hurt. If you're up for wearing heels all night I would go for a wedge or block heel for more support. No one is going to see your shoes anyways

I'm 5'10 also and had intentions of buying a smaller heel but ultimately I like the look of taller heels more. I ended up getting these which are 4 in

Those are cute! I also like the look of the longer heel as well but I'm thinking about these also because our wedding venue is not paved with cemet haha
