We booked our cruise for a week after we get married! We are going to st. Thomas, amber cove, grand tuck and San Juan. We are excited 😆

We were going to go to Jamaica in October but needed to choose a different date due to vacation time at work.

Although end of October is technically hurricane season. Look up historical hurricanes... They typically occur last week of August through any time September is fair game. October is generally much less often, especially towards the end. I used to live in the SE, so I have a lot of experience with this. Lol. The upside of end of October is also the decreased rates, usually not considered peak season until November.

My husband and I married in City Hall in December 2018 (we are just having a small family celebration in October). We are, however, going on our honeymoon at the beginning of November right after our party due to vacation time availability. We are going to Santiago, Chile + Easter Island + hiking/camping through Chilean Patagonia for a little over 2 weeks in total. South America seasons are opposite of the US seasons - its spring in Chile/ Argentina/ etc in November! Try looking into places in the southern hemisphere - it'll be a bit more expensive, but the weather will be better!

PS - I know our honeymoon is not what most people would choose - but its a trip of a lifetime for us!

We are going on a 2 week Viking Ocean Cruise to the West Indies leaving out of Puerto Rico! We bought travel insurance because.... well... hurricane season!! I've never been on a cruise and after watching the news this week I'm a little nervous! Our normal travel destination is the UK/ Europe so we wanted to switch it up

We are going to Australia and New Zealand for 2 weeks!

We are being completely not normal with ours, but we decided on Alaska! We will be able to see the northern lights then! 🥰

We are going October 21-27 to Montego Bay sandals resort in Jamaica for our honeymoon! We worked with a travel agent and everything is insured. Yes, it’s hurricane season but we have direct flights via southwest and it isn’t peak hurricane season. If anything goes bad, sandals works with you to either go to another resort that week or reschedule you a month later or whatever. We are really excited! Yes, it’s also the rainy season but they are short rain showers, which is fine with me because I’m very fair and can’t be in the sun all day long. We were looking at the souther ncarribean but the flights in October are bad bc it is the off season and they don’t begin their charter flights till November.
