Recommendations for appetite suppressant

Nichole, on June 13, 2019 at 2:23 PM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 16
So I just got my dress and I’m wanting to drop a few pounds. The last pill I tried was “burn it” I think and I had to stop taking it because it gave me a headaches and made me sick to my stomach.

Girl, I'd recommend not doing that at all. It's not healthy to take those. Maybe instead try some shapewear?

I've always found appetite suppressants a waste of money. Like you said I'd feel sick to my stomach or have headaches so it would prevent me from exercising and I would never lose any weight from them. If you lower your carb intake you'll see way better results than any pill can provide. You'll be less hungry (eat less) and put your body into fat burning mode.

Eat healthy and do more cardio. Don't trash your body with diet pills just to look good in a dress.

Agree with other PPs, it's not great to take pills like that. If you want to eat less, drink tooooons of water (fills your stomach up do you don't feel as hungry) and I believe fiber supplements can also make you feel fuller and want to eat less, but fiber is actually something your body needs so it's not as bad as random diet pills.

Have you tried eating small, healthy meals throughout the day? Or just eating healthy snacks?

Literally any “appetite suppressant” will make you feel ill. They are so bad for your health. Try a good quality shapewear, eat healthy and do cardio. Not eating does not help you lose weight. You can actually gain weight from not eating.

Not eating makes you gain weight because your body is starving. It makes you sick and the way they suppress appatite is either messing with your brain chemicals or full of fillers and additives your body cannot digest. It can make you super sick.
Protien shakes are really good if you're doing cardio. Cutting carbs and sugar. Count calories. Smaller healthier meals (like fruit) work best.
Stay hydrated, thirsty can make you think you're hungry. Being full of water at a meal can make you cut down on your portions.

I would avoid the pills and try cutting your carbs and upping your water. I cut carbs drastically 2 months ago (at doctor recommendation) and have dropped 40 lbs. I use the app Carb Manager to track everything.

Please don’t take pills. If you want to drop a few pounds pay attention to what you’re eating and make sure you’re in a calorie deficit. That’s the only way to lose weight.

Didn’t even think of fiber pills, I drink a lot of water but on work days I can’t really up my water intake because some days there isn’t a bathroom available.

Appetite suppressants don't do much if anything at all. Have you tried cutting out sugar from your diet? When I was initially losing the weight, I cut out a lot of the unnecessary sugars from my diet and tried to minimize my carb intake as a whole. Eat more veggies and protein and cut out the empty calories while keeping your meals at a high volume (E.G. choosing a big salad with lots of veggies and chicken instead of a PB&J)

These are dangerous and not at all a good idea! You’re literally shutting down your body’s survival mechanisms and will likely do long term damage to your relationship with food and ability to listen to your body’s cues. Track your calories in vs calories out. You don’t need to restrict any food groups or take any pills. If calories in < calories out, at a reasonable amount, over time, you will lose weight. Keep in mind every body has a “set point” and going beyond that is extremely difficult and often unhealthy. I’d ask yourself why you feel the need to lose weight in the first place? Obviously this is a very personal decision, but if it’s just to look a certain way, is that what you really want your wedding day to be about?

Not a good idea! Keto (no carbs) with even light daily exercise will help you quickly and safely drop a few pounds. If you really need to, try a healthy green juice cleanse for a few days but not closer than 1-2 weeks before your wedding! Alcohol, greasy appetizers or even dessert could made you really sick (vomiting or diarrhea) if you consume right after a healthy cleanse.

I mean I find that drinking coffee makes me avoid overeating. Back in the day I called it the "Dancer Diet."

You could try green tea extract, green coffee extract, caffeine or psyllium .. all are in pill form available at natural health food stores. Psyllium comes in powder form too.

Unless you have kidney or liver problems, you don't need any store bought / internet cleanses. If you really need to cleanse, opt for milk thistle instead.

Don't do that to yourself girl! There's so many healthier ways to lose weight. Heavy exercise at least 3 times a week (especially lots of cardio), drink a ton of water (and ONLY water... no soda, juice, alcohol, etc.), cut out sugar entirely, and eat low-carb. Chicken and vegetables should be the staples of your diet.

This was the regimen my husband was on and he dropped 50lbs in a year!
