usa Honeymoons?

Gabrielle, on June 13, 2019 at 11:28 PM Posted in Honeymoon 1 20
I would LOVE an all-inclusive resort, but all these horror stories on the news lately have me second guessing that decision.
Any suggestions for US honeymoons? We are in Indiana and up for anything. Thanks! ❤️

I live in southern California but I went to New Orleans once and thought it was cool there. Cultural, party City, lots to do.

Destin Florida or Gulf Shores Alabama! Both amazing places on the emerald coast (Gulf of Mexico)!! We are going to Destin for ours, but my grandparents travel to Gulf Shores every winter and it’s beautiful and peaceful there.

Miami! Is some where fun! You can go to Wynwood for the art and south beach for the beach.

Girl don't let the news scare you. I promise you these exact things happen in the USA as well we just don't hear about it. We went to the poconos in Pennsylvania one year and the first night we were there someone cut our brakes. The next night they broke into our car and cut the power and did 6k worth of damage and stolen property. This was on a resort with cameras and security.

Lol we are doing Indianapolis for mini moon. Just renting a air B and B. You are close to Chicago. Also look at beaches. Air B and B tend to be less money then a hotel. You may be able to get one on or near the beach. Maybe he Ben with a hot tub.

I am also from Indiana and we are in between romantic beach or fun Disney. I am looking into California but I am a little hesitant for the east coast because of our wedding in September and hurricane season. My brother went to St. Lucia and loved it but I want to stay in the U.S. as well. We are also looking into the Palm Desert because they have some beautiful romantic resorts out there.

We are going to Niagra Falls and NYC for ours. It was a toss up between Vegas, California and NYC for us.

We will be going to my FH's favorite place in whole World and he has done quite a bit of travelling. He took me camping there last year for our one year dating anniversary (we won't be camping for our honeymoon), but I fell in love with the place. Check out Ocracoke, NC. I loved that you could park the car (we drove down) and walk almost anywhere in the main part of town - it's not that big of an area if you don't mind walking or renting a bicycle.

Like PP Destin Florida is beautiful and the water is so clear and blue! My FH and I are going to the US virgin islands. No passport required because you never leave the country and get all the wonderful luxuries of the Caribbean

My parents did the grand canyon for their honeymoon years ago and absolutely loved it! Nova Scotia might be nice. It's not USA, but it's also not far from. Someone mentioned Niagara Falls. If you do that, do the Canadian side...its soooooo much better!

The US isn’t very known for all inclusive! There are plenty of safer places in the Caribbean to go! Just check the us travel ban website and stick to places that are Risk 1: take regular caution! St. Martin, St. Thomas, Aruba, Curaçao, Costa Rica, and plenty more should be on that list. Stray away from Risk 2 places!

Yes! Well...not for all inclusive. But Lauderdale-by-the-Sea is a cute beach town north of Ft. Laudersale/Miami and is where we are going. Close drive to everything we could want, but still quiet and small. Great shopping. AMAZING food (a big one for us). Saving on money. There aren't very many all inclusives in the US that are truly all inclusives or don't have horrible reviews. That's originally what I thought I wanted, but I changed my mind once I priced everything out. SO much cheaper to buy food to snack on/easy lunches for all-day beach day, and then go to restaurants for the rest of the meals.

I've been to an all inclusive cruise and also have stayed at an all inclusive in the DR. It was cool, but not worth it, especially as we don't want to drop 6k on our honeymooon. And I wouldn't feel safe going out of country for a honeymoon right now...
