Made for an outdoorsy bride, a Lake Tahoe bachelorette party is the perfect adventure-filled girls’ getaway—with plenty of relaxing and partying to be had along the way! Whether you choose a winter bachelorette party in Lake Tahoe with skiing and snow tubing or a summer Lake Tahoe bachelorette party full of boating adventures and warm weather hikes, this nature haven has plenty to offer as a bachelorette party destination, including top dining spots and an epic nightlife scene.

A Lake Tahoe bachelorette party is ideal at any time of year—here’s how to start planning yours.

What to Do

A Lake Tahoe bachelorette party is all about the outdoor adventures to be had. If you head on your gals’ weekend in the winter, choose from a plethora of resorts, like Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows, Heavenly, or Northstar where you and your snow-loving friends can ski or board all day. For those who are a bit fearful of the mountains, all of the resorts have plenty of bars for hanging out during the day around a cozy fireplace, and snow-tubing opportunities abound for the whole group.

In warmer weather, you can still hit the trails—but this time in hiking boots instead of ski boots. Find the best trails. A trip up Mount Rose, the tallest peak in the area, offers epic views of Reno, Carson City, and the Tahoe Basin. Or take the shorter Emerald Falls and Eagle Lake two-miler in South Tahoe, for a stunning view of Emerald Bay. And if you want to see it all, choose a portion of the 162-mile Tahoe Rim Trail to meander with your best pals and take in the stunning scenery

On the lake, you can find plenty of opportunities to soak in the sun, be it laying on a portion of the lake’s never ending shore, or renting jet skis and kayaks to go out on the water. If you’re looking for excitement without the work, rent a party boat for a booze cruise the lake with music and dancing on the bow.

After all the working out, your Lake Tahoe bachelorette party squad probably ready for a relaxing drink. You might not be in wine country, but there’s still plenty of opportunity to drink vino on a Tahoe bachelorette party. Head into Tahoe City, where you can do an afternoon of wine tasting at Uncorked Wine Bar. If your bride’s a beer gal, take her to a few of the best breweries between California and Nevada. Choose from Stateline, The Brewery at Lake Tahoe, or Cold Water Brewery and Grill.

If that wasn’t enough to soothe your sore muscles, check out Elements Spa for some true R&R. The lakeside facility offers spa treatments, as well as access to its private beach, outdoor pool, hot tub, and dry sauna. Sounds like the perfect way to spend the day to us!

And for some lighthearted fun of another color, book a session with Shake Rattle and Pole, who will bring the pole dancing class to you at your hotel or Airbnb. Don’t be embarrassed—this is a whole lot of fun and a great way to bring out your girls’ wild sides.

And if you’re feeling lucky, head to Crystal Bay Casino, where you can gamble the night away without trekking all the way into Reno. Or make your way to the MontBleu Casino where you can try your hand at a few games of black jack, and party the rest of the night at their Opal club, where fire dancers aren’t an irregular sight.

Where to Eat

A great way to start your day on a Lake Tahoe bachelorette party is with breakfast at Fire Sign Café. A favorite since its founding in 1978, this cabin-like eatery offers homemade breakfast pastries and breakfast favorites from pecan waffles to huevos rancheros.

For apres ski (or hike) happy hour, head to 22 Bistro at the base of Squaw’s KT-22 mountain. With gorgeous views of the peaks to stare at, you and your group can enjoy drinks and shared plates of Kobe beef sliders, truffle-bacon Brussel sprouts, and sweet potato fries with homemade jalapeño ketchup.

For a nice dinner with a view of the great outdoors, Christy Hill offers lakeside dining and a menu of fresh seasonal ingredients. If you’re in Tahoe for the summer, book the Sandbar on the lakeshore for drinks and shared plates waterside.

The North Shore’s Lone Eagle Grill offers a dining experience on a private lakeside beach. Come for lunch in the sand and sun, or a dinner with choices like cabernet braised short rib, ranch trout, or organic king salmon roulade.

For a more casual dinner, head to Basecamp Pizza Co. in South Tahoe for gourmet pies and Italian specialties in a laidback atmosphere. The woodfire pizzas include everything from a pear and gorgonzola topping to the “big mountain” loaded with sausage, pepperoni, and two types of bacon.

Where to Stay

You won’t be lacking options to stay at on your Lake Tahoe bachelorette party, including plenty of hotels at the ski resorts. For fancier digs, the Ritz-Carlton offers plenty of luxury, including exclusive access to their private Lake Club, a spa, and fantastic suites.

For a fresher vibe, consider the Basecamp Hotel in South Tahoe. The hip living spaces have a rustic-chic vibe and the hotel offers plenty of outdoor spaces with views of the mountains. You’ll even find a brewery and beer garden on property.
