Ben and Anh's Wedding in Baltimore, Maryland

The story of our wedding

We found love in a hopeless place! We both swiped right on each other and met up in Chinatown DC for a post-class date in late 2017. We ended up talking the whole night and only left after the bar closed up. We made our relationship official on 1.1.2018 after celebrating New Years Eve together (and because it's an easy day to remember).

In July 2020, we were wrapping up a wonderful beach week with the family when we decided to go on a bike ride. On our way back, Ben suggested we watch the sunset along the scenic bike path. It was then that he got down on one knee and asked "Will you marry me?" Anh was so giggly that she said "I do" instead of "Yes" and had to ask him to get back on the gravel so she could properly say "Yes".

A year later, we had our magical wedding day in Baltimore, MD. We opted for a classic and romantic wedding at the American Visionary Art Museum (AVAM) that incorporated a travel theme. We are both huge travelers, Ben has been to 36 countries and Anh has been to 48 countries. We personalized table names for cities that we had been to and had a fun quiz about our travel stories to encourage friendly competition for the table centerpiece. We also wanted to make our Catholic wedding personal so we incorporated a "vow exchange ceremony" at our cocktail venue. We had an amazing time and couldn't have asked for a better celebration of our love!
