The Proposal:
Father's day weekend 2018 which was supposed to be a family shoot at the beautiful Dallas Arboretum gardens turned into a surprise proposal. I've been wanting to go to the gardens for a while so Chase and his family hired a secret photographer and tricked me into thinking we all are going to dress up and go as a family. His parents were so excited they were able to participate in the plan, his mom was even asking me what ''to wear'' prior to us going ha! But turns out no one came beside Chase where he took me to a sport he reserved for us and got down on one knee. The photographer was there to document it all which was the sweetest thing.
Vows:
Part of the preparation was our first look and exchange of personal vows. Throughout the year we kept journals of little letters to each other which we wrote each month leading up to the wedding day. On the big day, we exchanged the journals and got to read each other's letters just us two before walking down the aisle. There were lots of tears.

Chase was born in Texas I was born in the Ukraine. We come from totally different backgrounds and grew up on opposite sides of the world. But after I ended up getting recruited as a student-athlete to the University of Arkansas, I moved to the states for college thinking I will be back to my home in Israel after a few years. But then Chase and I met, dated for 5 years and decided to tie the knot making the United States my official new home.
We got married in Dallas, TX at the same church where his parents got married 35 years ago. As it was my parents' first time in the U.S., we wanted to create a night celebration downtown, showing them that 'big city life' and letting our guests dress up for a ballroom reception on the 19th floor of the Adolphus with downtown views.
That's how our traditional/formal wedding came to life! We chose a pastel/ light color palette with lots of ivory and touches of gold. The theme was an elegant/romantic glam ballroom wedding in the city. We did not want to do anything over the top but keep it very tasteful and classy where every detail served a purpose. It was the best day thanks to our family & friends who came from near and far, as well as all the amazing vendors!
Thank you for reading and your consideration!
