The story of our wedding

We met in elementary school when I was in 4th grade, John was in 5th. His school closed and they merged with ours. We dated for 6 years and go engaged on Cindo de Mayo 2018 and he used our mini goldendoodle to pop the question! We chose the month of June because we lost my dad 3 years ago to multiple myeloma. His birthday was June 3rd and he died June 5th so we wanted to make the month a special and happy one again. I love clean lines and a modern feel and our wedding was just that, white, simple, sophisticated, elegant. I planned the entire wedding down to every detail. We made sure to tie in my dad and our pup! John's favorite movies are Back to the Future and when thinking of what I could get him for a gift I thought, why not a Delorean?! I had one show up that everyone was able to take picutres with, surprised is an understatement.

Our engagement: I was getting my hair done that morning and he was out cutting grass, when I got home I started cleaning because I knew we had a Kentucky Derby party to get to. He came bursting in the door with our dog and I asked him why he had a bandana on. He asked me to take it off and when I went to grab him he started running in circles around the room, this happened 2 more times. Finally he picked him up and asked me to untie it, that's when I noticed the ring. He pulled out a pice of paper that said can my last name now be Wentz. I always said Maverick would have my last name until we were married. He then got down on one knee!
