The story of our wedding
Jordan and I are a Tinder success story! After dating for three and a half years, Jordan popped the question while we were hiking outside of Woodstock, New York, in our favorite spot under a waterfall. We love to travel, and ended up getting our engagement photos done in Sicily while on vacation with Jordan's parents!
We planned to move from NYC to Philadelphia, and planned our wedding outside of Philadelphia, just south of Pottstown, PA. We're both active, outdoor people, and we wanted our wedding to feel like a giant summer party.
We picked Welkinweir as our venue because of the gorgeous, serene outdoor setting - it's a 55-acre arboretum - and the incredible food provided by JAM catering. We had perfect, 80 degrees, sunny weather for our big day, and the flowers and outdoor setting created a garden oasis for our guests.
My family and I added a lot of DIY elements, as I learned calligraphy to do all of my invitations, signs, and escort cards, we dyed our own cheesecloth table runners, my dad built our Chuppah out of birch wood, and my uncles did all of my flowers.
Continue reading »We had about 165 people at our wedding and it felt like a big summer party! Our Hora was so exciting and fun, the speeches were hilarious, and the summer evening cooled off into a fantastic golden hour that haloed the entire night. It was the most incredible day :)
