8 Nov, 2019The story of our wedding
We knew we wanted a destination vineyard wedding with mountains, and I wanted my grandparents to be able to attend without the worry of traveling far, so we chose California as our location. We found the perfect spot (Forgotten Barrel winery) in Escondido. They allowed us to chose any vendors we wanted, and since we fell in love with the idea of a wood fired pizza dinner, we discovered San Diego pizza company, and they did not disappoint! My florist (Ardil’s flowers) was incredible as she made my vision come to life with just a few meetings over the phone. The venue recommended a phenomenal Dj (Dj frank pompeo) who helped the flow of the wedding events move seamlessly. The most important aspect for us was the photography, and Amanda at Oh Lovely wedding was spectacular. It was the fastest turnaround I have ever seen for a wedding, and we were so happy with the outcome. We didn’t like the traditional unity ceremony with candles or sand, so we opted to have a wine box ceremony, where we wrote letters to each other with a bottle wine and sealed the box to open and enjoy on our first anniversary (and replenish for our 5th and so on). We were overjoyed with how well everything turned out, and even more so that our guests told us multiple times that it was the best and most unique wedding they had ever been to. One couple is even planning a vow renewal at the same venue with all of the same vendors, which truly was a huge compliment!
