Oscar Deleija and Cristina Olvera's Wedding in Azle, Texas

The story of our wedding

Meeting: Oscar and I met at church about 8 years ago, I was the new girl. Oscar never meets a stranger so naturally he came up to me and we instantly clicked and became best friends. 2 years passed and we just knew our feelings were much deeper. We finally became official on Sept. 2, 2012.

Engagement: Flash forward 5 years, on Sept 2. 2017. Our 5 year anniversay. We both had decided to go to church before we went on an anniversary date. Nothing out of the norm. Little did I know he has gathered my family. I went through THE WHOLE church service without noticing that our families were there. At the end of service he asked me to go to the altar to go pray. Once we prayed, I turned around and our families were behind me. I was in shock. He got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife.

Wedding: Oscar and I got married at The Orchard Event Venue in Azle, TX on August 25,2018. Just a week shy of our 6 year anniversary. It was the best day of our lives. I am so happy to say I truly get to spend forever with my best friend.
