Rob and Alyce's Wedding in Leesburg, Virginia

The story of our wedding

Rob and I met at a baseball game in DC through friends, it wasn't exactly love at first sight, but Rob didn't care, he was persistant, and persistance won! :) We dated for 4 years and during family trip home to Hawaii, he proposed on the beach of Waimae Bay. We spent 18 months planning the funnest and best wedding we always wanted. And in a nutshell it went like this:

Our ceremony began at 5pm in the garden of Rose Hill Manor. Our guests were bused in right up to the door steps of the manor. I was wonderfully hot and sunny and everyone was ready to party. After a fun and emotional 25 min ceremony we met everyone in a recpetion line as they headed to cocktail hour. We featured old fashioned cocktails and lavender gin fizzes, along with coconut shrimp, and plethora of other delicious horsd'ourvs.

After our photos we headed in to join our guests for a drink and a game of cornhole on the patio. I also surprised my new hubby with a cigar bar! Our wedding planner, dj, and venue director didn't disappoint! We had our first dances, my surprise wedding hula, a bonsai toast, cake cutting and 3 hours of dancing, ending with La Hora Loca (crazy hour). During crazy hour we passed out glow foam sticks, costume hats and glasses and danced to the funnest music all night until our feet hurt! We put our DJ on the balcony level and the whole atmosphere felt almost club like (in a classy way). Guests were raving about everything and I would do it all again in a heart beat!
